Derby's Bar & Grill — Restaurant in Hemet

The first time I went there was with a friend who took me there for Karaoke. It was bad, the system, bad the nachos were nasty. But the barmaid was super nice and she was running the Karaoke. I went back with my friend a few time ( no ordering of food ) just because no one else was there and we could practice a lot of songs. One time there was another 2 people singing. In total I went there 4 times. It was just not worth it so I stop going for months; until, a friend of a friend said they were going to have a special Karaoke this past Saturday. So I assumed they must be stepping it up with new equipment and a real KJ. So I went to check it out. NOOO the same bad system and they did have a young man as the KJ . The virgin Pina- Colata I got was great and at the right price. Here is the kicker, after to songs not going well I was going to leave but someone I knew who seems to work there or be part of the ownership spoke with me. I told him that I know a lot of people who would love to come if the system was better ( you see the system they have can only bring up a few versions of a song and that is if they have the song to start with unlike most who offer Karaoke) anyway I was told " well if the people prove they want it " that was a first lol. I always thought that a buss. was trying to offer the customer the best product to keep them coming in. Then next, the stage has a all glass ceiling to floor back wall, so they put a bright white spot light on the person singing; Not taking into consideration that the light would reflect back into the customer faces. as I watch, They had to be talked into turning if off by the KJ. Again the barmaid/waitress was great polite and quick to serve. It may be for some and it being a bar most likely for most but the brake music between singers if full of cursing and such. So again I will no longer be going there nor any of the other long time Karaoke patrons ( And I have come to meet quite a few in the only 2 yrs that I have been doing this) be...

This was my first time coming here. But the place was cool. The DJ played good music, I liked that you could text your music request and the staff was very friendly. Even the bathroom was big and were kept clean. We went to the comedy show and the comedians were funny but the reason I only gave 4stars was because of the audience. They were disruptive to the comedy show. The comedians were sweet enough to interact but some people made it so that they couldn't even do the show. Very rude! And I could assume (by what they were hollering out) that they were locals which makes me think if these are the type of people that go to these shows every time I might not want to come back. Too bad too, because the area where they held the show was big and spacious. Almost a 5 star place. I might try it again and hopefully next time the locals...

I went there tonight about 8:30 I waited at the table thought I was going to get service then I went up to the bar and ask him how do I get a beer and they said you need to order it here but she wouldn't serve me then I asked another bartender they were too busy the place was not packed at all total of five bartenders serving The comedy club not a bartender left for the other people, I went and told the manager and he kind of brushed me off still waited 30 minutes went and complained again to the manager and finally after 35 minutes another guy comes up and wants to serve us at that point I had enough me and another guy left so did four other people done...
