Disclaimer: This is my personal experience. I always give businesses the chance to make things right. If something doesn’t hit the mark, speak up and let them fix it. That said, here’s how it went down at Pizza Heroes:
Pizza Heroes – 1639 W Warm Springs Rd, Henderson NV 📍 Family-owned, holding strong since 2020
Pizza Heroes doesn’t need neon lights or hype. It just does what it does, makes good food, treats people right, and keeps showing up. They opened right at the start of the pandemic and are still going, which already tells you something.
We stopped in for the Meat Lover’s Pizza and added an order of wings with their house-made ranch. From the first bite to the last, it was clear these folks care about their craft.
Crust: Crisp edges, soft enough to fold, no sag. Just the way a proper slice should hold up.
Sauce: Made without sugar, relying on real tomatoes for flavor. It’s tangy, savory, and lets the toppings shine.
Toppings: This pie wasn’t playing around. Meatballs, sausage, pepperoni, bacon every slice had solid coverage and a deep, bold flavor.
Wings: Baked, not greasy. Flash-fried for that crispy finish and served with a ranch that tasted like it was whipped up in the back by someone who actually knows what ranch is supposed to taste like.
We met Veronica, who welcomed us with a warm smile and no sales pitch, just genuine hospitality. First-timers get a free soda on the house ( or at least I did, remember, my experience), which was a classy touch that made the experience feel personal.
The atmosphere? Nothing flashy, nothing to pick apart. It’s a clean, casual space focused on the food and it works. You’re not there for a photo op. You’re there for a pizza that folds like it should and flavors that hold up without needing gimmicks.
Pro tip: Tell them Greg sent you. If you’re lucky, maybe Veronica will hit you with a fresh cannoli.
Final Take: ✔️ Family-owned. ✔️ Opened during the hardest time and still crushing it. ✔️ Sugar-free sauce and dough, packed with flavor. ✔️ Wings that actually hit. ✔️ Friendly, down-to-earth service.
No frills. No nonsense. Just a neighborhood pizza joint doing it right. Five out of five...
Read moreI’m visiting from out of town and this happened to be right around the corner from our place. It had great reviews and we happened to be looking for pizza anyways. From the second I called to when I finished my last delicious piece of zeppoli I loved it. I placed the order with who I assume to be the owner or owners husband, and he was the most genuinely nice guy. I ordered a Hawaiian, supreme and cheese pizza along with wings and zeppoli and garlic knots. He immediately told me that they get their chicken sourced from the largest and longest running private chicken farm in America, they have a special process for their wings in cooking and serve the sauce on the side to preserve freshness. When I picked up the food there was a patron from New York and another from Jersey-they both said this is the best pizza around.
Each item that we ordered was worthy of a repeat visit. The pizza was amazing and I would put it side by side with the best from New York. The crust was perfect and had great structure, the sauce was a great compliment to the toppings and they also placed the perfect amount of toppings.
The wings were super thick, moist and perfectly seasoned-we got bbq and hot, I personally loved the hot! The ranch is also homemade with organic buttermilk (per the owners very excited report which in my opinion makes it even tastier)
The garlic knots were buttery garlic goodness.
The zeppoli are like hot beignets-carb filled sugary warm soft pillows of happiness.
Again, any one of these items stands by itself as a worthy reason to come here, but the fact that you can eat all of it in one place and add in the simply fantastic customer service of the two owners! This is a must visit place in Vegas.
They drew descriptions on all the bags of food and added smiley faces as well, it’s a small touch but was a customer service...
Read moreMy husband and I have definitely found our new favorite spot in Pizza Heroes, tonight. As soon as we walked in, we were immediately greeted by the owner, Gabriel, and his wife. It felt like going over to a family members place. They were so welcoming and sweet. After we ordered (margherita pizza), Gabriel showed us the game consoles and offered for us to play while we waited for our food. While we were waiting, we witnessed customer after customer come in to pick up their food. Every person was treated like family or a dear friend. We also had a lovely chat with Gabriel while waiting for our food. He was so passionate about the quality of ingredients in their pizza (and their chicken, which we will be back soon to try).
This is nothing like the American pizza you’re used to, this pizza is Phenomenal!! Quite literally the best pizza I’ve had in my Life! The sauce is amazing! The perfect amount of acidity and not too much or too little on the pizza itself. The crust had an amazing texture and flavor, not floppy at all. Soft, and perfect thickness with a light crunch. Every bite was like heaven.
We were so impressed that we even called in to let the owners know personally how wonderful their pizza was. I cannot wait to come back and try everything else their menu...
