My family has been going to this affordable steakhouse along as I can remember. It’s always been kind of a staple in our group. You know, where we meet when family comes to town or when it’s like a celebratory-end of a hard week or we just want to kick back as a family and have a special meal with none of the matriarchs having to cook. (Or clean up after!!)
My Mother started living to come her about 15 years ago after she started liking a good steak. 🥩 This came as a BIG shock to all of us because she was always kind of a vegetarian/fruit eater. In fact, recently her cholesterol was sooo darn low the doctor ORDERED Her to eat more meat! 🍖
Sooo, she has been suggesting that we revisit an old family favorite ❤️ The Outback!
I was like sure let’s do it. Who doesn’t love that Victoria Filet with the horseradish crusted top?? By the way they don’t do that anymore! Crazy 🤪 to get rid of the absolute BEST thing on the menu.
So, we go. The service is bay far…impeccable. Two gentleman are tag teaming us (g-rated versions) in the most polished/polite way all throughout. Their knowledge of the menu, features and libations is bar NONE. These guys will be picked up by a fine downtown establishment any day!
Anyhow, brown loaf bread -yummy.
I personally HATE that blooming onion but my Mother loves it. So, you decide. I think it is literally disgusting 🤮. She lives to pull it apart and dip it in that spicy sauce. I just keep my manners and smile. 😊
Then, she orders the sirloin and shrimp. 🍤
I ordered, a special feature tri-trip, shrimp Alfredo over linguini. It was all bad. Seriously 😳, the cuts of meat were heinous. This meat was tough, burnt, more fat than meat and had tough veins of lard or IDK 🤷🏻♀️ running through. It was utterly incurable or I would have troubled our servers to take it ALL back to the OUTBACK. Very disappointed. ☹️ They even cured my poor ole dear Mother. She said, without prompting, “I dare say, I shan’t be returning here again. This place has changed!”

Karlie greeted me with a warm and welcoming smile, quickly making me feel at ease. She was very knowledgeable about the menu, offering recommendations that perfectly suited my taste preferences. Her enthusiasm for the restaurant's offerings was contagious, and her service was prompt and courteous throughout the meal.
Adam, who was managing the floor, also made a point to check in on my table, ensuring that every aspect of my dining experience was up to par. His professionalism and genuine care for the customers' satisfaction were evident. He was quick to address any requests, making sure that my meal was served exactly as I had ordered and that my dining experience was nothing short of perfect.
The teamwork between Karlie and Adam was remarkable. They seamlessly coordinated their efforts to provide efficient, friendly service that made me feel valued and well-taken care of. It's rare to encounter such dedicated and attentive staff who genuinely seem to enjoy their work and go the extra mile for their customers.
Overall, my experience at Outback Steakhouse was greatly enhanced by the excellent service provided by Karlie and Adam. Read moreMy girlfriend and I went to Outback on Henderson Blvd in Tampa, Florida. We were greeted promptly and sat at a booth by the Host. We then had Bobbi G as our waitress and she not only swiftly took our drink order but suggested a cocktail for my girlfriend that she absolutely loved. She brought all the items that we requested and then we ordered. My girlfriend and I ordered the Bloomin Burger and the Sirloin and Alice Spring chicken respectively. My salad and Potato soup came out promptly and of course they were really tasty except I did not get to eat my soup LOL. (Someone and I won’t say who it was ate all of my delicious soup). We then got our main course and her burger was delicious and my steak was great. The chicken was a bit small so the Manager Bobbi brought me out another one without me asking. I have to tell you that yes the food was great, but the service was impeccable! The Bobbi’s were amazing and Bobbi (Manager) let me sample the clam chowder made fresh and it was to die for. I will be heading back in two weeks when they will have the clam chowder and the creamy onion soup again!!!! The atmosphere in this Original Outback in Tampa is extraordinary not just because of the food and the environment, but due to an amazing waitstaff and even more amazing leadership team!! Thank for making our evening exquisite and so comforting at the same time!
PS: I have to state that I made the assumption that anyone reading this post knows the steaks are wonderful at Outback, but just in case you have forgotten they really are WONDERFUL! Then add all the items that they make fresh and truly you cannot go wrong...
