We HAD to post about this new hidden gem in Hendersonville, NC…and quite possibly our new favorite restaurant! Hearth and Herron is absolutely worth the drive! For an upscale dining experience with elevated twists on classic dishes, this is one restaurant that you have to get off the main Downtown street to try! For our appetizer, we got the delicious feta cheese skillet with locally made sourdough bread and roasted veggies. Not exaggerating when we say we could have eaten a couple more of those for our meal and been happy! Sadie got the grilled hickory hanger steak with whipped mashed potatoes, and Cal got the wood roasted lamb with potatoes and yogurt sauce. The meats were tender and extremely flavorful, and the sauces complemented the dishes perfectly. Our waitress was fantastic and so kind. Sadie has a digestive issue where she can’t have corn, and the waitress and chef were so accommodating about substituting the corn on the hangar steak for mashed potatoes. We can’t wait to come back! Do yourself a favor and add Hearth and Herron to your must-try restaurant list!! -Sadie & Cal Room For Two Blog @roomfortwo.blog

We recently visited Hearth and Herron and it was absolutely fantastic!!! We came in around 5:30 sat at the bar and were quickly greeted by Brian and Jake. The cocktails were amazing; we got that Cactus bloom and a smoked gin cocktail. AMAZING! For dinner we got the shitito peppers with a soy, lime, and ginger glaze. Also the eggplant with a Mediterranean yogurt sauce, the honeynut gap bolognese, and the beef ribs over a fresh coleslaw. This restaurant a was a 10/10 experience, the menu changes daily, which we love!! Every hostess, and server was welcoming, friendly, and informative. Marissa and Chef Bradley really have made an amazing environment in Hendsonville. They are down to earth people and the folks we look for when dinning daily. We will definitely we back and are so excited to see what they have to offer on their fall/winter menu.

Hearth and Herron is an absolute gem in Hendersonville! Everything here is cooked to perfection and you can truly taste the care and quality in every bite. Bradley makes his own bread for the pizzas and pita, and you can tell it’s on another level.. fresh, flavorful, and made with love. The menu celebrates local and fresh ingredients, and it really shines through. My highlights were the heirloom tomato salad with burrata (incredible, super fresh and bursting with flavor), the hanger steak (perfectly cooked), and the croquettes (a must-try!). On top of the food, the atmosphere is warm and welcoming, with a super friendly staff that makes you feel right at home. It’s family-owned, and that personal touch is felt throughout the whole experience. Highly recommend this spot, you won’t be disappointed!

First time here and I just want to say the food alone is amazing. Chef kiss to the owner and chef, I hope the menu grows or changes with the season because the multiple small plates we had were amazingly done as well as elegant. Can't wait to see what comes from here from a food standpoint.

The atmosphere is a bit small for the venue. I remember going to this place every Saturday when it was a farmers market and now seeing as a restaurant is a bit different. I'm impressed with what they have done I just hope it doesn't limit them in the future. I have seen small spaces do wonderful things though.

Now service... When we arrived I looked online and noticed there were a few reservations open for the time we were going to eat so I didn't bother making a reservation, this apparently was a mistake. The hostess immediately informed us without a reservation we would not be seated until we informed her we noticed two spots at the bar then we were allowed to sit there. The bar again small but with two bartenders behind it shouldn't be a problem getting taken care of, one would think. One bartender began our evening by exampling the menu to us like we were children or prize winners who won a opportunity to eat there. This is definitely not my first "fine" dinning experience nor will it be my last but being talked down to from the start of the meal is a new one on me. After that for the rest of the evening was mostly the rest of the bar being fully waited on hand and foot while me and my guest did our own thing. I'm not asking for a lot but if you are holding one customer to a standard you hold ALL of your customers to...

I went to H&H last night with a friend. It was my first time, her second. I no longer live in Hendersonville, but had heard about this new restaurant from friends who live here. I remember it when it was a kind of run down prodce market. WOW what a change. This place is so nice! Love the decor and the food! I got 3 appetizers, not because I can eat that much, it's just that I wanted to try different things and couldn't make up my mind. I ordered the heirloom tomatoes with burrata, the brussel sprouts, and the ribs. Of the three, the heirloom tomato dish was the standout, although all three were really good. The brussel sprouts were crispy so if you don't like them crispy, this isn't the dish for you. The ribs were good, kind of an oriental twist I thought, and fall off the bone tender. The service was stellar. The only downside, if there is one, is that the tables are close together and it can be loud because everyone is talking. But my friend and I were able to have a conversation and hear each other! All in all, a great dining experience and a welcome addition to the otherwise ho hum (in my opinion) Hendersonville dining scene. I'll definitely be back...

Finally able to get a reservation and boy was it worth it!!!! The ambiance seems crowded and loud but it was perfect!!! We got to visit with our neighbors who had been there 6 times and the man at the opposite table 4 days in a row! This should tell you something. The pita was absolutely phenomenal, light and served hot. We like so much we brought one home. That set the tone for the rest of the meal and boy oh boy we were not disappointed. Buttermilk chicken with bread, sauce and homemade pickles seemed like a strange simple choice but wowza- it wasn't overcooked and full of flavor. Those pickles made the dish for sure. The wait staff weren't rushing us and that was nice. Beef Bourguignon was served so ho, Ihad to blow on each bite until the end. Not sure why they brought me a knife, almost didn't need it. The wood roasted lamb leg was absolutely divine. So tender and the potatoes and lemon sauce were just magic. Dont normally order desserts but the neighbor tables on each side said we would NOT be disappointed. IT WAS FABULOUS!! Please go! Get your reservation soon and go. We want them to be around for a LONG TIME!!! THANK-YOU TO THE OWNER AND STAFF-...
