What a Disappointment… this place has lost its consistency.. I took 7 adults into the restaurant. We ordered the 32” pie… we got 27 inches maybe??? And NO SAUCE OR CHEESE… BARELY ON IT… instead of going to the counter and ordering the 8 slices from the display, we went for the whole pie order and we were shorted about what o would estimate is about 15”x2 Area worth of dough and cheese… and even then, the amount put on was NILL… I approached the pizza maker kindly and pointed this out with pictures I have with my kids from previous visits and showed them the leftover slice from our pie at the counter and it was MORE THAN OBVIOUS TO THEM THAT THE SLICE PIE BEING SERVED AL A CART to customers was actually on point and what we got was SHORTED CRUST!!! They shrugged their shoulders and when I called up to ask to speak to a manager afterwards at around 10pm on April, 17th, 2025, the person who answered the phone claimed at first they were the manager and when I explained what happened, they told me that there are many other pizza places in Hoboken, and basically hung up!!! I called back, and insisted to speak to the person who hung up and asked them to explain why they would refuse to resolve issue, I told them I will bring back the slice and they could measure it and DO THE RIGHT THING… been going there for decades, we are talking about FLOUR, SAUCE AND CHEESE… we ordered two mozzarella stick orders and 4 bottles of water(at an enormous inflated price) and 2 sodas…. Gave waitress a Fair tip and the individuals I spoke to could care less about the brand name and the quality control and HAVE ABSOLUTELY NO PEOPLE SKILLS AND TREATED MY INPUT LIKE A JOKE… 100’s of slice I’ve bought and this is the crap I have to experience… MANAGER… I need to have a conversation with you please…

Update 4/18/25 Spoke to a guy named Eddy… did the right thing, offered me a $25 dollar gift certificate… Came in @6pm to resolve issue, SAME DUDE WHO IS MAKING THE HOUSE SLICES AT 6pm on a GOOD FRIDAY/EASTER WEEKEND, is the DUDE THAT IS GIVING YOU GUYS A TERRIBLE NAME AND RUINING THE BRAND WITH SAUCELESS AND CHEESLESS PIECE OF TRIANGULAR-TOAST!!!

Update: 4/23/25 I went back to claim the offer…I had to wait until the earlier part of the week to avoid the original pizza guy that looked at me like I was crazy for my willingness to point out the poor quality… anyway… 3 of the 5 slices I was given as complimentary almost made the SIZE QUOTA … they measured 15-15.5 inches which is almost 32” across/diameter… but the other 2 were still measuring at around 13-13.5… which is only about 27” inches in diameter, cut from the same pie… so i’ll split the difference and basically call this a 29” pie… still 3” short and that is A LOT OF LOST PIZZA AREA… the sauce and cheese was much better on these A La Cart slices, however, I’ve had cheesier and saucier pizza 🍕 before… at least it wasn’t like eating large pieces of toast… glad the restaurant honored my complaint… but the general public is getting ROBBED by these inconsistencies.. I make my own pizza dough at home, the cost is VERY INEXPENSIVE !! and the MARK UP prices that this place charges are RIDICULOUS… so AT LEAST BENNY TUDINOS SHOULD HONOR THE SIZE THEY CLAIM TO SELL… and $12.50 for a half a package of pepperoni slices at the cost of $3.50 a bag, maybe $4.50, that topping charge is EXTORTION!!! Many better spots have been popping up all over Hoboken… best get your pizza game in order or FAFO like the 50year baker that closed in December or down the block on like 6/7th and washington, Pizza shop closed and about a year ago another pizza shop closed off of 1st street…. Your slice size is ALL YOU GUYS GOT GOING FOR YA… BE WEARY…. P.S. Oh that’s store bought pepperoni, your slice WILL NEVER...

I stopped ordering from Benny's 7 years ago when I ordered food for delivery and it arrived 2 hours late and was ice cold. I called and complained about it just to get an attitude from the person who answered the phone. When I asked the rude woman if they can remake my order for delivery and pick up the cold food I was told that the kitchen was closed so they couldn't remake the food. So I asked for a refund since they wouldn't replace my order and was denied. Now I was angry with the service I was being provided and demanded to speak with a manager. The woman told me to hold and instead of putting me on hold she hung up the phone. When I called back no one would pick up the phone. I called back for at least 30 minutes and never got someone to answer. After that I decided not to even bother going there in person the next day because I would've made a huge scene and probably got into some trouble so I was out around $50 for horrible customer service and inedible food. Fast forward to today. I ordered a large cheese pizza for delivery and was told 30 mins. I payed in plastic just in case I ended up with a problem because I never forget about what I experienced that time. Anyways the pizza came on time and I brang it upstairs. It smelled good and was still piping hot so my cousin grabbed a slice while I headed to the fridge to get the Coke and some cups. I got back to the living room and he was like dude this s#*t is salty I said yeah right and grabbed me a slice and took a bite. After a couple chews I tasted it. It was super salty, so salty in fact that the first bite I took was the last one. I immediately called them and told the guy who answered the phone that the pie was super salty and if they can remake one that isn't so salty and the guy said all the sauce they use is the same so the pie is gonna taste the same so I asked for a White pie instead. He told me the sauce isn't salty but he'd make me the white pie and have it delivered. I didn't want to wait another 30 minutes so I told him I'd come in person to drop off the salty pie and pick up the white one and he was like that would be great. The guy at the counter saw me walk in when I got there looked at me and then continued to take care of customers. It was packed so I had to get in line just to get to the counter. After 15 minutes the guy at the counter looked at me again and told me to come up to the counter to ask me if I was picking up an order and I told him yeah I'm picking up a large white pie and that I called earlier about the salty pie I had delivered and came to drop off the salty one and pick up the new one. I gave him back the pie that was delivered and he opened the box to take a look at it nodded his head and said the white one is ready. I went to grab the box with the white pie and he was like you need to pay $2 for the difference between the white pizza and the regular pizza. This actually surprised me because I was thinking since I wasn't happy with my order and personally brang the pie back to them that it would've been a switch and go. I asked the guy why do I have to pay the difference between the pies after I tipped your delivery boy and paid for something that I ended up returning in person instead of redelivery for a new one. He said the sauce isn't salty and I had to pay the difference because it's a different pie and I said I wasn't happy with the order so I returned it and now I have to pay for a replacement. I gave up right there and payed the $2 because I wasn't in the mood to argue and wanted to go back home. Now I will never order from Benny's again. That's all I have to say...

Welcome to Hoboken home of Baseball, Frank Sinatra and Benny Tudino’s… where 1 slice of pizza …takes up 2 plates …and it has a Great Taste.... enough said... now Benny’s is known for a lot of other great dishes. The bruschetta bread is absolutely delicious they’re pastas are delicious and beautifully plated. Enjoy multiple types of salads There is a variety of things to choose from on the menu for adults and kids …everything I’ve ever had has always been absolutely delicious. The service has been top-notch always polite and on point …it is clean and the bathrooms were clean … located blocks away from the historical Hudson River with million dollar views of the New York City skyline … there is outdoor eating when the weather calls for it but inside the pizzeria there is always a great view of the game from multiple TVs…they have many drinks to choose from from fountain soda to cans and bottle sodas to pitchers of soda if you have a big group …I personally love their Stewart’s black cherry soda. It’s my favorite, so in other words be there or you might miss out on one of the most historical and best pizzerias of Hoboken and New Jersey …it is absolutely one of Hoboken landmarks where many famous people have come to see Benny’s 2 plate slice and also to take pictures with Benny. You can find those pictures decorated on the walls in the pizzeria, You can sit where some of the stars have sat to enjoy Hoboken’s most famous pizzeria...

The pizzas were huge at this place, biggest slice of pizza ive ever seen. But considering it was my first time being at this place i believe the guy who works the register am not sure if thats the owner but he was type rude. As a customer being there for the first time he definately didnt make it feel welcoming , he didnt really help me or my girlfriend out w. Our order , basically we had to figure it out how to order by ourselfs. The menu doesnt have a seperate category for slices , u would have to look on the chalkboard they have thats hanging on the ceiling over the counter. N they're limited on toppings for slices. The service definately couldve been better , but Me n my girlfriend was just all in it for the pizza considering that it was our first time ever seeing a slice so big we were so intrigued by it n really wanted to try, but this would not be my to go spot considering how rude the guy at the register was. N they only take CASH btw !!!! They dont have a sign that says they only take cash so just be aware anybody reading my review to have CASH on hand ! Pizza was good , but service was trash 👎🏼
