"If we make it back to the real world, I'll find you again. And fall in love with you again." - Asuna
Café LAPIN should be on your list if you're into high quality Matcha, Teas, & Coffee. Located on the 3rd floor of the 808 building on Sheridan is a perfect choice to catch up with those you care about. And if you're craving sweets or a savory bite, CakeM is part of this shared space!
Upon entering you'll immediately notice the bright natural lighting and wabisabi ambiance. It reminded me of the kissaten shops I'd frequent in Shimokitazawa. The owners are Japanese and the attention to detail is obvious here.
After my friend treated me to Brunch I decided to return the favor and treat her to Matcha drinks where we could enjoy it with our Beignets. Café LAPIN was hopping, however the energy calm and as we stood in line we perused the menu. I chose Salted Vanilla Cold Foam Matcha and she chose the Lavender Cold Foam Matcha.
We sat at the large communal table, but other areas to enjoy your time too, including some cafe tables just outside. The owners are humble and kind here and drinks made carefully and to perfection. We truly enjoyed every delicious sip!
In the end, Café LAPIN was a highlight of my day. WiFi included on your stay and find them on IG: @lapin_llc where you'll see my photo;) I truly can't wait to return oh my name is on that Éclair!
Fun fact: my Aunty has a house on nearby Cedar street and back in the day this 808 land was a Korean Christian Church I'd pass-by everyday when I lived with her. Aunty still there and 92!

Luckily, I came across this place through Google! It’s close by to Walmart, so a quick 3-5 minute walk if you’re needing a drink or something small to eat.
I definitely recommend as the coffee is good as well as the pastry’s!
I’ve gotten Maple Cocoa Cold Foam coffee and the Honey Butter Lemon Toast. The coffee was good and the toast actually surprised me in a good way! It wasn’t sweet and it was very refreshing, as someone who isn’t fond of Honey— I highly recommend it!
You can sit inside or sit at the outside seating although very limited seatings. It’s very...
Read moreCafé LAPIN joins the long-standing Cake M tenant in a quant space on the 3rd floor. The owner seems to be the only employee to serve drinks, but works quickly and carefully. Unfortunately, they have an old espresso machine but aren’t using it, so coffee drinks are made via an AeroPress device (which isn’t great). Other drinks include pour-overs and matcha and seem to be the crowd favorites. I was disappointed to pay $7 for the AeroPressed cappuccino drink. Nice views with more tables outside & a clean bathroom around the corner. I’ll be back with a higher review if they get a proper espresso...
