Gelato & Chill — Restaurant in Honolulu

I visited last night 12/20/24. The flavors were good. But I didn't like that the employee female stared at me when I looked at everything and decided what to get. I felt uncomfortable and she didn't offer flavors or toppings, just stared me in my face. Also, she made a much much smaller portion than the usual boy that works. The price wasn't worth it like it always has been. A group of people left and the guy said, "have a good one" but no one responded, smiled, or looked at him and this girl employee wasn't paying attention (she was closest to the door). I got 1 bowl, Hazelnut coffee crunch & toasted marshmellow. The two people that I let try it were raving on the haz/coffee and really liked the combo. I'll return but I hope this girl ups her scoop size or I'll prob stop visiting. It's inconsistent for certain employees to give nice huge scoops and for another to give...

Initially i loved the place. Still visit often... but lately the staff disappear with the store still open but they lock the door and put a Be Right Back sign... I've been here several times where this happened and you can see the employee walking from down the street from who knows where. If the store is open, someone should be there. I don't know why this is happening more than once. Today 2 December, around 6:20PM, met another couple waiting for employee to come back... writing this review at 6:43pm and no employee has come back. The couple had left several minutes ago....

Wow, used to love this place when it opened but, today was a different story. We ordered the blood orange sorbet, and it came out super crumbly and dry that it couldn't even fill the up the cup. Like...it had been there for weeks. I confronted the worker to see if she can get me a new flavor...but noooooo she proceeded to explain to me how "sorbets are made differently and it looks like that, that's normal." WHAT. On what planet??!! See my pics to see what I mean. This staff was super rude, didn't even try to make it right. This is the last time we go there. STAY AWAY...
