HI Angeltreats — Restaurant in Honolulu

This review is long overdue — but I’m still dreaming of these treats I bought in November from HI Angeltreats: thanksgiving-themed cupcakes for a military spouse event and basketball cupcakes for my daughter’s team. Aren’t they adorable? These cupcakes are some of the best I’ve ever had.

They are expertly decorated - the piping texture and designs are unique. They are obviously beautiful to look at, but I’m sure you are wondering what I thought of the taste?

I’ll start with the frosting: there’s a perfect amount; it’s not over the top. The flavor isn’t super sweet, either (I don’t like overly sweet). It was a delicious buttercream with a fresh and natural taste.

And the cupcake? It’s hard to decide which one I liked better - vanilla or chocolate…

The vanilla has a rich vanilla-butter flavor. The chocolate is deep and fudgey. No air holes, so the texture is a small crumb. It doesn’t fall apart while biting into it, either, so it makes me wonder what the secret technique is — Cake flour? Not overmixing? I’m no expert, but I’m not naive when it comes to baking, either. It’s a science and an art. I love to bake and have made many things, but never at “pro” level. HI Angel Treats is there. I highly recommend...

I first found out about HI Angel Treats a while back from watching the morning KHON news, her desserts looked so amazing & delicious! 😍 Time passed & my parents 33 Year Wedding Anniversary was coming up & I instantly knew where I wanted to order their cake from! Angel is SO sweet, thoughtful, talented & attentive to detail. I told her the theme that I wanted & she absolutely nailed it. Flowers, tulips, purple. 💜 It was absolutely perfect! I ordered a 1/4 Sheet cake and a Cupcake bouquet. Both items were beautiful, well packaged & most importantly: tasted so AMAZING! Everyone loved it! The buttercream is honestly so addictive 🤤

I truly appreciate how kind she is & that she took my order with just a week’s notice! Ordering & pickup was also so simple and smooth. I will definitely be ordering from her again for future birthdays, holidays & more. Thank you Angel for your work, time & all else in between! Delivered a Cake Beyond My Dreams!

I sent Angel a picture of a cake I liked (just for inspiration), and what she created for my daughter’s Sweet 16 was TEN TIMES BETTER than the original! 🎂✨

She took the theme, added her own creative magic, and delivered a masterpiece that was bold, fun, vibrant, and totally unique to my daughter. Everything—from the dazzling details to the 3D elements—was handcrafted with so much care and style. And the best part? The entire cake was made with all buttercream—NO fondant. 🙌🏽

We chose chocolate cake with chocolate cream filling, and WOW. It was light, fluffy, rich, and not overly sweet—just perfect. You could tell it was made with quality ingredients, no processed or artificial taste at all. Everyone at the party was raving about it!
