I absolutely loved this location. It is a cozy place located in Mccully shoppijg center fronting Taco Bell. After conducting a Google search to see what hot pot restaurants were open. This was the only one open for dine in. Upon walking in there were 2 families dining in. We were immediately Greeted with a warm smile. We were seated at the 3 will on the left. The rules are simple so make sure you read the rules. Each table has a set if instructions. Follow them please. We immediately placed our order. We had 1/2 kimchi 1/2 miso soup. This location charges by the plate color. They have a wide variety of meat selection and help yourself selection. You must use gloves that they provide when helping yourself to the items in the icebox. Rice is provided just ask. I love spicy food and the kimchi broth was perfect. The owner will ask how spicy you want it. You can tell that the workers take pride in their restaurant and providing a clean and sanitary service for customers. Down to the minor details. I am so glad that we came here to have lunch. The owner was so diligent at refilling our waters in the restaurant. Never did our water glass go half empty. What is cute also is every table has its own trash can. My suggestion is if you make a mess clean your mess. The trash can is at your disposal. I am so blessed to have eaten in a clean and sanitize environment using no masks. I definitely recommend this location if you are intrested in dining in period but what is most important is the care and detail that the employees put in to make sure we have a...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI've had hot pot before, but the system here is different than my previous experiences. After you order the broth and meat/seafood, you pick out the other items from a refrigerator in the back of the restaurant. Choose from lots of different vegetables, noodles, dumplings and more. Like a popular sushi train restaurant, the color of the plate will help you keep track of the cost.
I got scallops, short rib sliced extra thin, bean sprouts, choi sum, udon noodles, and mochi dumplings (tapioca wraps stuffed with pork & shrimp), all with the beef broth. The broth by itself was flavorful, it had onions already in it. After all the items had simmered in the broth it tasted even better. The individual dishes range between 3.89 for the veggies and noodles to 9.99 for the meat and seafood. They have a large variety of self serve dipping sauces, no extra charge. I mixed some of them together to make a unique sauce that was pretty good.
I was here solo for an early dinner between 4-5 pm, only one couple walked in while I was there. The service was friendly, professional, and quick. I was here alone for the first 40 minutes so that helped and the waiter was great in explaining everything to me. They do not serve beer or wine here, but he said you can bring your own. I'll probably return here and bring my family next time. This was a great experience...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreBasa Filet, taro root stems (which I never had them before) and the vegetable soup base were very good. The staff told me the soup was made from only vegetables, but I forgot to ask if there was any msg. It tasted very good, but I developed a very slight allegorical reaction that didnāt last very long. In hindsight sight, it may be something in the fermented bean curds sauce.
The beef belly and briskets were good and the vegetables weee okay as well. The only item that I didnāt like was the tofu skin as it had a stale taste no matter how long I tried to cook it. There were also no chopped green onions and cilantros for the dipping sauce, which was unusual for a hot pot place. Other than that, the rest were either good or acceptable. I noticed that many other patrons ordered too much and had to get a container or two to take them home. Unfortunately, hot pot left over does not taste good and also itās not very healthy to eat hot pot overnight. So, remember not to order too much. The service was friendly and attentive. The sitting area was a bit too basic for us, but...
