It is so refreshing to see a sandwich place that offers healthy sandwiches that are both satisficing and healthy for you. To often, all you see is unhealthy bread and filling offerings. Māla Market really does offer something different for those of us sandwich lovers that are health conscience.

Although the location is a bit hidden within the strip mall, once you find it, you'll appreciate that it is off the beaten path. The shop it's self is simple, yet does the job for cranking out their high quality sandwiches. What I like best, is the outdoor seating with the water view. You don't feel the hustle and bustle from mall and can eat in peace and tranquility.

I went with their house special, the Shrimp Salad sandwich. It was loaded with the chopped shrimp salad along with lots of healthy veggies on multigrain bread. It was supper yummy. It is nice that they offer a small salad option for those wanting to skip the chips and I loved the dressing it came with.

The staff are all very friendly and quick with your order. I will defiantly try them again when in the area and highly recommend any healthy sandwich lover...

Attended the GRAND OPENIN of the Mala Market which overlooks the water of Hawaii Kai. This brand new eatery is an asset to the islands. This delightful creation is the team efforts of the young owners who have spent long hours developing the most tantalizing fresh menu ever! The secret dressings, beautifully built sandwiches are created with the freshest produce, high quality meats and deliciously presented by the hard working staff. Refreshing sandwiches in Hawaii Kai! Such a wonderful addition to the eateries in HK. While we had Jersey Mike's and Sandwiches, we really needed a local business to create delicious sandwiches that use local and healthy ingredients. The Italian we got was filled with meat, veggies, sprouts and cheese. It was so refreshing and perfectly filling. The price was about $11-12 I believe but it was well worth it. It even came with a salad that had a cilantro dressing. The dressing was light and not too strong in cilantro flavor. Simply divine!
