Such a small shop that comes to life once you step inside! I love the chatter and the smells of the delicious broths. I love that you can go to the fridge and grab what you want to put inside your pot. The workers are friendly and know the menu and can tell you what’s good. You wouldn’t think that it’d be hard work but it really is! I recommend the curry broth. Oh man. It’s so good. It goes well with noodles, and I got regular saimin noodles but I’d recommend the udon!! It’d be like curry udon which is one of my actual favorite meals ever. Try out some of the drinks too — the plum wine is good and I heard the yuzu one is also tasty. I wish I were on this side more often. I’d probably be here way too often!! I also thoroughly enjoyed the sauces and probably used too much. Anyways, I’ll be back here again. Maybe I’ll try something new! Probably not though.... I really love that...
Read moreNabeya Maido is located in the Market City Shopping Center, between Gina's BBQ and Duck Lee.
Nabeya is a smaller Japanese hot pot restaurant that you choose your broth and get your own items to put in side of it from the refrigerated cases.
The plate prices range from $2.90 to $5.90 depending on the items on the colored plates, plate color determines the price. I liked that they offer a lot of different choices of meats, vegetables and other things to choose from.
They have Happy Hours Specials till 5:30pm, 20% off and 2 for 1 Tuesdays on the broths. I'll have to try the Omakase platter ($19.95) on the top shelf in the glass case. It's loaded with an assortment of meats, seafood and vegetables, great plate for two people to start off with.
Service here is friendly and attentive, our...
Read moreWas craving nabe for the night and this place never disappoints! Soup is super flavorful, we opted for the maido house broth and bijin for my mom because she doesn't like spice. The house broth wasn't incredibly spicy if you like heat, just a few piri chili's to give it flavor, not so much heat. Prices are definitely not your typical cheap prices of you went to like a Chinese hot pot restaurant, but quality of ingredients are what you're really paying for. Overall, great meal and we opted to take the leftover broth home because I love soup and I wanted it for the next day. That was the best decision I could have ever made because it rained hard the next day and I love soup on a rainy day! Will be back to...
