I finally took the time to stand in line to try this place out and it did NOT disappoint!

I’ve seen this place and had it on my radar for awhile, so when it came time to try it, I jumped at the chance. This little spot is Order at the Counter & casual and by 7am there’s already a line to order breakfast.

My team and I went for the Loco Moco, I went for the pork belly burnt ends version and my other colleague tried the brisket version. I also added the Mac Nut Cinnamon Roll to my order as I couldn’t resist. First off, the Loco Moco was out of this world! Between the pork belly and the gravy, it was ridiculously delicious… I also liked that they used jasmine rice as opposed to sushi rice. The only “complaint” was the sunny side egg was pretty well done, but the rest of the dish made up for that. The Mac Nut Roll was good too, but wow, the Loco Moco is next level! I would have to say the best on the island, hands down. The only problem now is that I’m going to want it everyday and I know it’s not possible…

Anyways, make the stop here, get a Loco Moco and be forever tormented that you’ll only have it...

This place used to be Iyasume Musubi Cafe, so there are only about four tables inside, but it has a charming and cute atmosphere. (Outside, there are seats set up next to the entrance and on the side that can accommodate about ten groups.😊👍) It's a pay-and-sit style, so in the mornings, you often see a line of people waiting to order. We had the loco moco and Denver omelet. We added two extra eggs to the loco moco. The latte and haupia macchiato were also delicious.😊 05/12/2024 Today was our last day of the trip, so we decided to take it easy and arrived here leisurely around 9:30. As expected, the place was crowded and fully booked. We planned to get our order to-go, but luckily, just as we were about to pay, a table opened up. It was a relief since it was a bit windy outside. Being Mother's Day, they were giving out a rose to every guest, which was a pleasant surprise🌹. We enjoyed Avocado Toast and Kimchi Fried Rice, along with Thai iced coffee and the Iced Haupia Macchiato that my husband loved from our last visit. With all these little bits of luck, we were happy to have our...

~*I was super excited about trying Sunny’s out with my best friend on the glorious morning of June 17, 2024 around 10 AM. Well the lady who took our order ruined our entire experience with her rude and snarky attitude. I asked her to tell me more about one of the breakfast items and she replied “It’s just what it says” in a very rude tone. I was super shocked by her response and I repeated her words to her to ensure I heard her correctly. My best friend was shocked as well and we lost total interest in buying a bunch of goodies just to explore and taste what they offered. Wow, this is how your customer service representative treats a guest and how you respond to a simple question of interest? Clearly she had no desire to assist or serve us. I left feeling pretty sad that she treated me that way. I definitely wanted to love this place but I am a strong believer in providing good service and treating guests as if they matter. I would not recommend it nor will I return because of such...

I came in, and the attendant was short and not super friendly. I was surprised to hear from the person behind the counter that their espresso machine was not working. . So.... not able to access 90 percent of the menu. . Some constructive criticism..... . If I had a coffee shop with all the size and service, in the tourist district, perhaps two machines might be the best. Drip coffee was 5 bucks each and not super impressive. Very high price - normal here i see, but sticker shock for basic brew. . My wife and I were the only ones in the shop. They were not busy, but I had to hunt for the cream and sugar. . This is my first trip to Hawaii, and I am still on the fence about customer service. Some places are super professional and others are lazy AF. I did not get a feeling of professionalism. Like hey.... come back later and try this or whatever..... .I will say, it was 615 am so maybe they were not ready yet. . : )
