In my opinion one of the BEST kept secrets in Waikiki. 10/29 @ 11pm while walking home from another bar a local befriended me & my friend and offered to buy us a drink WE accepted. He took us to a quaint little bar tucked behind a 7/11 in an alley off lower main strip. Wow what a perfect local bar. The kind Gentleman made good on his offer and got me a Moscow Mule made perfectly. While talking he disclosed that he was the owner. Suzie Wong's boast 14 LED screen tv's w/ sports on every channel. They feature All MMA fights for FREE & can show you ANY game of ANY SPORT. DRINKS are very reasonal w/ many drink specials they also have a pool table & maybe even darts. Suzie Wong's has 3 bathrooms. Male, Female & gender neutral. They DON'T serve food but they are surrounded by many eateries and you can bring your food there and enjoy American football ALL day. Soccer Rugby, baseball they have it. If you fly to Honolulu & visit Waikiki it would be a HUGE disservice if you dont pay Susie Wong a visit, as a matter of fact Iam on my...
Read moreOne of the best dive bar in honolulu. It is like hidden gem for Honolulu. I should give 5 stars but bartender is not attentive to take order and she has her own friends group and she spent more time with them than at bar. So end up with 4 stars.
Nice collection of whiskeys & food. Food van is located outside the restaurant at entrance. When you ordered food in Irish Rose Saloon they will get food from this place. So same food truck is serving to 2 restaurants side by side. Recommended as date place and friends hangout. Not for children.
Prices are okay not so expensive, but don't expect attention from management to assign server to you.
Parking: No onsite parking, can you park on street or beside building parking spot.
When you enter inside, you will get local bar & rustic feeling. Lighting and decorations are old enough to change.
If you feel bored at this place you have Irish Rose saloon at entrance of alley. It has good amount of...
Read moreIt's a little hard to express to someone who is not familiar with the bar scene, and many of their little quirks. And, I don't want anything that I may say to paint Suzie Wong's to be anything but a great place to meet with friends, have a great time, and talk story. But, one must keep in mind, that a bar of this nature has a regular crowd. You just can't come here and start stepping on people's toes. But, if you are fairly quiet at first, always respectful, and learn the lay of the land. You will soon find out why it is enjoyed by those who frequent this particular bar, and why maybe they might just be a little reluctant to tell just anyone about it. Not that they want to chase away customers, that's not the point. But, they are protective, and don't want to see a great place get spoiled by a...
