A gem in Kaimuki! I don’t know why I never found this little gem before. From the outside it looks like a house but upon entering you will be greeted with a very well manicured garden with an abundance of foliage and flora. After checking in you will be led to an open dining area facing a water fall with diamond head in the background. We went there for the brunch and the food and drinks were excellent although I felt like the Oma rice or omelette rice that I ordered could have come with a piece of meat of some sort or perhaps the rice could had some kind of meat in it. So I ordered a side of meat instead. My daughter had the eggs Benedict and she said it was perfect! She is an eggs Benedict expert. 😜 The setting is just very peaceful, calming and inviting. Saki ( our server) had a beautiful smile and had a very good energy about her. If there is one thing I could suggest, it would be to have fresh branches or flowers cut to put on the table instead of the plastic ones they have. I feel like because we are in Hawaii there should be no excuse to have plastic flowers anywhere. But all in all, this place made it to one of my favorite places...
Read moreI’ve come here often for the ambience - beautiful outdoor setting with cute decor and simple Japanese-style foods. For the price, the meals are on the smaller size. However, very tasty! I’ve tried many dishes from here, including the beef stew, omelette rice, toast, pancakes, and chocolate parfait, and have been happy with all. I enjoy bringing family here, and they’ve all been just as delighted to dine here.
Service can be slow at times, however the staff are very pleasant. I strongly suggest making reservations to dine here, but also checking their dining schedule via Instagram because days and hours are not consistent, which I think is due to private events. Parking is available on-site, though limited. Getting here can be tricky because of poor street visibility, with cars parked...
Read moreVery disappointed. I heard about this place and it took me some time until I actually went there and meanwhile I read reviews and saw photos of the foods and menus which got me excited. Finally went there for lunch and noticed that they had changed the style. There used to be options to choose from, like for pasta lunch, which type of pasta and which protein but there are no longer options. I chose Wafu (unfortunately vegetarian), which I normally love in general but it was boring flavour even with the dashi it came with. Parfait was pretty good though. Customer service was good. Apparently, dogs are allowed on the patio seats. We reserved a table just in case but it didn't give us a nice table. Relaxing atmosphere with a great view. As a total, it's not worth it,...
