Today is my birthday, 12/18! The outside advertised seen on Food Network, I went in with high expectations! Upon walking in, my sister spoke to a young lady that was sweeping and was IGNORED.
Then when we got to the cupcakes we was nicely greeted by a blonde young lady, she was super nice and knowledgeable! Very professional in what she does.
I love everything cinnamon and was eyeing the Churro and Cinnamon cheesecake cupcake, I spoke to the blonde lady and she recommended a strawberry cheesecake for my second option as it is her favorite cupcake.
I ordered the Cinnamon cheesecake and Strawberry cheesecake cupcake. The young lady mentioned that there will be a cream filling in the center, and there wasn't any! Talk about disappointing!
The strawberry cheesecake had stale and old hard icing on the top of it, it wasn't FRESH at all. Why are they selling stale cupcakes??!
I remember we need to get candles for our birthday and I go and fetch them. I ask the mixed young lady, how much and she promptly says;"$1.10", which to me is a bit expensive for two candles.
I pay, and when I get home my sister tells me, "she wasn't going to charge me for the candles until I asked how much". What the hell? I feel scammed, like how are you going to charge me for two birthday candles when they are meant to be FREE??!!!!
I had no idea, I'm not a local and I'm not even from Arkansas! Just a tourist who just got scammed by Fatbottomed Girl's! Good to know, I will NOT be recommending nor patronizing this place anymore! I regret we even came here for our birthday!
It would've been great if she joked about charging me, but actually charging me for TWO tiny candles that don't even do anything is outrageous and bold!
Such a scammer in the making, it makes me think does she do anything else that's malicious?
Featured on Food Network, yeah right?! Pssh, the cupcakes were only moist there was nothing else special, outstanding, nor spectacular about them!
I guess she, the mixed young lady wanted a tip for standing a register. Ungrateful twat!
Don't let the "Seen on Food Network" sign draw you in because you may be scammed by the cashier. The cupcakes are not that great, I didn't even finish the one I was...

You can't teach customer service.....Sarah is clearly born with it, she knows how to win people over. Thank you again for showing up to help, it is truly appreciated.
Very Dissatisfied Customer Don't waste your time!!!!! First time to visit Hot Springs, AK and we saw a cute Cupcake shoppe and wanted to know what it was about. Cupcakes were ok and staff was friendly that evening, we found a shirt while we were looking around and they were out of my size so I ordered it from online 7/31/21. I hadn't seen an email or any tracking information so on 8/14/21 I sent and email to fbgcupcakes.com to see if I could get an update, finally 8/17 I receive tracking info. 8/19/21 shirt was delivered but glued to the package and now it has a glue stain on the front. So I emailed on 8/20/21 to let them know it was damaged and sent pictures. See below, also packing was too small to put a shirt in it. Never received an email back so I called the store 8/20 and was told to Facebook message Mackenzie Simon on her personal page as that was the best way to get ahold of her, as you can imagine I heard not a dang thing from her. So I called the store again on 8/24/21 and told me to Facebook message the FBG Facebook page. At this point you may be shocked but I have heard NOTHING again!!!!!!!!! I called the store on 8/27 and spoke to an employee and she was Fabulous took my information and said she would give it to Mackenzie and she would call me to resolve this and that if the employee could do anything she would refund me. So here we are 9/1/21 still have heard nothing and now it's the principal of it all. I called the store today and they said if you leave a review they will get ahold of you. Yeah I can't imagine this will work and if there was anything less than a 1 star I would definitely give it that. Seriously you may be famous because you were on Cupcake Wars but you let it go to your head and your shipping department is lacking. Communication is all...
Read moreI would like to sincerely thank the FBGCS crew for helping me make my mom's Mother's Day, even though I was all the way in California and she was in Hot Springs.
Given that everybody has been on lockdown for so long, I thought my mom would appreciate something delicious that she didn't cook for herself for her special day. I spent forever looking all over the internet for options, but when I stumbled upon Fat Bottomed Girl's Cupcake Shoppe on Yelp, I knew this was a great option. Using their extremely handy website chat function, I confirmed that they deliver to Hot Springs, then the next day, I placed my order over the phone.
The woman I spoke with was super helpful and kind (I mean, I was, after all, totally going in blind!). She took note of my mom's allergies and took my card info right there over the phone. The cupcakes were delivered Mother's Day by who my mom thinks is the shop owner (thank you!) and the delivery person refused to accept a tip, instead wishing my mom a Happy Mother's Day. SO Sweet. And since we couldn't tip, the least I can do is tell you how happy I am with the service.
According to my mom, the cupcakes are out of this world good. She RAVED and said that between the taste and the service, she and her friends are going to be regulars from here on out.
And as a little side note: I read a lot of reviews mentioning things being pricey at this shop, so when I called, I totally braced myself for the total at the end of my order. I fully expected "expensive" cupcake pricing from here in CA, which would be probably ~$6-8 per large, "designer" cupcake. . . plus a hefty delivery fee. Needless to say, I was expecting to drop $50 easily on this gift, if not more, since that's what I would pay at home. But HOOBOY, that is NOT what I paid. It was about $4 per cupcake and wildly, there was no delivery fee (absolutely unheard of where I'm from). To this Californian, this was the deal of the century, though I totally understand that these things...
