This is by far the worst restaurant experience we ever had! We came in just want some simple breakfast faire before we go on the trail hike. We came in around 11am, one of wait-staffs called out to all new customers walked in the door to find any open table they like. We seated ourselves, and waited at least 10 minutes before someone finally acknowledged we were there, and called to another waitress that she was supposed to help our table. Another 10 minutes went by, the supposed waitress finally came to get our drink order of coffee, water & orange juice. We waited another 15 minutes when the drinks finally came, and she apologized for the delay due to short staffs, and took our food order. We waited for almost 30 minutes, our coffee were cold and gone and still no one came back nor checked on us. I finally flagged another waitress and asked for more coffee, she came, pour, gave us the same delayed excuse and left. In the meantime, the customers who came in 10-15 minutes after us, sitting at two other tables being served by other waitresses already had their food and half way into their meals. We still have no food and no wait-person returned to check on us. In the meantime, we saw our supposed waitress went out the front door for smoke breaks. I politely flagged the 3rd person who looks to be the supervisor/manager (she wore a more formal business attire) if she can check on our food order -- she never came back. By now it is almost 12p. No food, no service. I finally had enough of the lousy service, I intercepted the same supervisory attire person and politely asked the price of the coffee, put $4 on the table and told her it's ridiculous that we can't get any service or food for over an hour. She stopped my husband as he was leaving and gave him back a dollar as he was leaving. Couldn't recommend food since we never gotten ours. But definitely would not recommend the place based on the service...
Read moreMy family and I went on vacation, and during the walk down the road looking at all of the shops and such, we start to get hungry, and we all decide on Granny’s Kitchen. At first, i order a vegetable and beef soup (note that beef was misspelt in the menu, as it was spelt beff), and i am informed that they are out of vegetable and beef soup. Ok, i order something else, that being the Pork Tenderloin as it was one of the specials. In the menu, it never stated that it was breaded, nor did they inform me of it being breaded when i ordered it. We then proceed to wait around an hour for simple orders. While waiting, i notice that the floor looks like its mopped once a month, and swept once a week. Along with the overall weird decorations everywhere ( including random barbie dolls, children’s toys, rusty gimmicks, etc), the place just seemed disorganized and dirty. When we finally got our food, i noticed that my pork was breaded. I take a bite despite thinking i wont like it, because you never know. In the end i dont like it so i ask if i can het something else. Our waitress, who was a nice, helpful lady, seemed sorry that i didnt like the food and allowed me to order grilled cheese instead. Afterwards, at the counter, they were all talking very loudly about how “I didnt like the pork” and such. In the end, i did get my grilled cheese rather quickly, and it was probably just my tastes but i found it rather bland. To top it off, there was a customer standing at the door waiting to be seated for around the whole time we were there, which was around an hour and a half. As well as how the waitresses treated us. I would try to ask for something and they would completely ignore me, and they were all yelling and shouting at each other from across the room. I wont be returning to...
Read moreUpon stepping into the building you can see the theme is off. It has a lot of strange junk you would not expect for the name of the restaurant. The lady behind the counter was really nice... the man who set us never smiled .... As we sat down and the waitress approached she was not kind or friendly honestly she came off a little rude .... when asked about a menu item her response was “I just work here I’m not the owner” ... her affect was flat with no humor or friendly smile that would make guest feel comfortable. The next thing we discovered where the prices where sky high and did not match the setting... at a place like this I expect ehh maybe to pay 5 dollars per entree... not 15 for an omelette.... again this place is beyond needing repair... update... whatever... update my significant other went to the restroom and said they are nice... now to receive our food and see what this experience has to hold... maybe there is a secret to the strange madness...? 😳 food came fairly quick ! Next, okay so I was feeling the food bc I was starving right? I’m munching away and then.... there is a hair on my plate in my hashbrowns!!!! Dear lord send help. Turkey bacon and pancakes are aight.. everything else we ordered is kinda meh not what I expected for price... sweet tea was on point though... next, although bathrooms are nice now that I have entered them I suggest bringing your own toilet paper bc this just ant gonna cut it... place could use a good scrubbing though... lastly now that our time here has ended we will probably never return....add in our waitress did check on us even if her attitude wasn’t great and she was nice once she handed us the bill... still do not...
