We Dropped By During Our Exploration Of The Street.. Party Of 6 (Mom & Grown Kids ranging from 5'5 to 6'4). We were seated at a table that had 4 chairs & directed to pull up additional chairs (while we looked at a empty table with 8 seats). We hadn't had time to flip through the menu or discuss our purchase (due to unreasonable pricing) when the waitress repeatedly seemed irritated that we said, "no.. not yet". We requested: A root beer float, 2Chocolate Pies, 1Peach Pie, 2Blueberry Muffins. The fried pies were 100% quality. The Root beer Float was NOT made with 💕 LOVE (it was a dripping sloppy mess but edible). We were informed That They Didn't Have Blueberry 🫐 Muffins. So we Opted for 1 Orange 🍊 1Cranberry. They brought 1 Blueberry 🤯 AND A MOLDED ORANGE 🍊 Muffin. I called the waitress over and asked WHY I was served this product AND SHE ATTEMPTED TO GASLIGHT ME!! Telling me "It's Supposed To Look Like That.. It's Authentic" 😂😅 Folks.. I could see WHO-VILLE THRIVING on this muffin 🧁 LITTERAL SPORES. Needless to say, I Sent It Back. They have a sign that says.. Bathroom for PAYING customer's ONLY (we found that RUDE! This Is America Ppl). Altogether, the setting has a BAD vibe.. #NOTMYGRANDMASKITCHEN 💯

When we walked into the restaurant we were greeted quite quickly and seated. Our drink order was taken right away with our appetizer order and it came within 10 minutes. The pulled pork loaded nachos are a meal in itself. Easy for two to share. Then we waited 30 minutes for our food to arrive. The kitchen was overwhelmed with two very large groups and they weren't able to keep up. When we got our food it was well worth the wait. This was truly home cooking at its finest. The owner, Shirley, came out to greet us and gave us a history of the restaurant and the building. I was quite pleased with her gracious demeanor and hospitality. If you're willing to wait for your food, enjoy the atmosphere and good company. Be prepared to take leftovers home. The portions are Hardy and you will be pleasantly surprised other quality. The gumbo is quite good but the roux is very mild. The twice baked potato is really nice and the cornbread is amazing.

7.30.22 @2:30pm: We walked in during a somewhat busy time (right before closing), as the restaurant was packed, but no waiting list/ line.  We were able to seat ourselves immediately, and our waitress was prompt in tensing to us.  Parking was difficult, but she told us about parking innthe back.  We ordered 9 hot chicken wings ($10.99) as an appetizer, 3-piece catfish plate ($14.99) (came with 3 catfish fillets, fries, pinto beans, onion slices, round pickle slices, slaw, 3 hush puppies (good and spicy)), and fried peach pie with ice cream (a la mode (for $4.29)).  The wings were fresh, hot, crispy, tasty, and we devoured them!   The fish, hushpuppies, and fries were good, crispy.  The pinto were tasteless.  Slas was ok.  The dessert was the showstopper by far. Overall, I would eat here again.  The food, price, and service were worth it. Filled up 2 adults and 2 small children, but we really don't eat a lot.

This is by far the worst restaurant experience we ever had! We came in just want some simple breakfast faire before we go on the trail hike. We came in around 11am, one of wait-staffs called out to all new customers walked in the door to find any open table they like. We seated ourselves, and waited at least 10 minutes before someone finally acknowledged we were there, and called to another waitress that she was supposed to help our table. Another 10 minutes went by, the supposed waitress finally came to get our drink order of coffee, water & orange juice. We waited another 15 minutes when the drinks finally came, and she apologized for the delay due to short staffs, and took our food order. We waited for almost 30 minutes, our coffee were cold and gone and still no one came back nor checked on us. I finally flagged another waitress and asked for more coffee, she came, pour, gave us the same delayed excuse and left. In the meantime, the customers who came in 10-15 minutes after us, sitting at two other tables being served by other waitresses already had their food and half way into their meals. We still have no food and no wait-person returned to check on us. In the meantime, we saw our supposed waitress went out the front door for smoke breaks. I politely flagged the 3rd person who looks to be the supervisor/manager (she wore a more formal business attire) if she can check on our food order -- she never came back. By now it is almost 12p. No food, no service. I finally had enough of the lousy service, I intercepted the same supervisory attire person and politely asked the price of the coffee, put $4 on the table and told her it's ridiculous that we can't get any service or food for over an hour. She stopped my husband as he was leaving and gave him back a dollar as he was leaving. Couldn't recommend food since we never gotten ours. But definitely would not recommend the place based on the service...

My family and I went on vacation, and during the walk down the road looking at all of the shops and such, we start to get hungry, and we all decide on Granny’s Kitchen. At first, i order a vegetable and beef soup (note that beef was misspelt in the menu, as it was spelt beff), and i am informed that they are out of vegetable and beef soup. Ok, i order something else, that being the Pork Tenderloin as it was one of the specials. In the menu, it never stated that it was breaded, nor did they inform me of it being breaded when i ordered it. We then proceed to wait around an hour for simple orders. While waiting, i notice that the floor looks like its mopped once a month, and swept once a week. Along with the overall weird decorations everywhere ( including random barbie dolls, children’s toys, rusty gimmicks, etc), the place just seemed disorganized and dirty. When we finally got our food, i noticed that my pork was breaded. I take a bite despite thinking i wont like it, because you never know. In the end i dont like it so i ask if i can het something else. Our waitress, who was a nice, helpful lady, seemed sorry that i didnt like the food and allowed me to order grilled cheese instead. Afterwards, at the counter, they were all talking very loudly about how “I didnt like the pork” and such. In the end, i did get my grilled cheese rather quickly, and it was probably just my tastes but i found it rather bland. To top it off, there was a customer standing at the door waiting to be seated for around the whole time we were there, which was around an hour and a half. As well as how the waitresses treated us. I would try to ask for something and they would completely ignore me, and they were all yelling and shouting at each other from across the room. I wont be returning to...

Upon stepping into the building you can see the theme is off. It has a lot of strange junk you would not expect for the name of the restaurant. The lady behind the counter was really nice... the man who set us never smiled .... As we sat down and the waitress approached she was not kind or friendly honestly she came off a little rude .... when asked about a menu item her response was “I just work here I’m not the owner” ... her affect was flat with no humor or friendly smile that would make guest feel comfortable. The next thing we discovered where the prices where sky high and did not match the setting... at a place like this I expect ehh maybe to pay 5 dollars per entree... not 15 for an omelette.... again this place is beyond needing repair... update... whatever... update my significant other went to the restroom and said they are nice... now to receive our food and see what this experience has to hold... maybe there is a secret to the strange madness...? 😳 food came fairly quick ! Next, okay so I was feeling the food bc I was starving right? I’m munching away and then.... there is a hair on my plate in my hashbrowns!!!! Dear lord send help. Turkey bacon and pancakes are aight.. everything else we ordered is kinda meh not what I expected for price... sweet tea was on point though... next, although bathrooms are nice now that I have entered them I suggest bringing your own toilet paper bc this just ant gonna cut it... place could use a good scrubbing though... lastly now that our time here has ended we will probably never return....add in our waitress did check on us even if her attitude wasn’t great and she was nice once she handed us the bill... still do not...
