I honestly enjoy this location. I’ve been here twice now, and I actually drive out of my way to visit, even though there’s a closer location to me. After trying the Westheimer location, which I found disappointing, I’m never going back. The location off of Maine and 610 was just not up to par – trash, honestly.
Every time I come to this location, it’s usually late at night, and when I walk in, the employees are just kind of twiddling their thumbs, waiting for customers, which I’m completely fine with because I love giving them something to do. This doesn’t affect my overall experience, though.
Surprisingly, this location is more affordable than the one near me, and I don’t understand why. The fries here are better too – they have crinkle-cut fries, while the other location has shoestring fries, which I’m not a fan of.
I also tried the cinnamon toast crunch shake here, and let me tell you, it tasted just like the biggest bowl of cereal! It was so good, and if I wasn’t trying to lose weight, I would definitely be getting this milkshake every time. The cashier recommended it to me, and I’m so glad I went with her suggestion. Normally, I’m a cookies and cream girl, but I wanted to try something new. I was also considering the fruity pebble flavor, but I’m not a fan of the new version of fruity pebbles – they changed the recipe.
Every time I come to this location, the food is always fresh and ready. I never eat there, but the 10-minute drive home never ruins the freshness. It’s always delicious, and I look forward...
Read moreI recently visited Bun Slut’s Westheimer location and ordered the Melt on Texas toast, with no onion, added beef bacon, and tomato.
Starting with the positives: the flavor of the sandwich was great, and the sauce added a nice kick. The portion size was hefty one patty is definitely enough, especially with the bacon added. The service was quick, and ordering online was easy. My total came to $13.52, and while the add ons like tomato ($1) and beef bacon ($2.50) drive the price up, I think it’s reasonable for the bacon, considering it's beef.
What I didn’t enjoy was that the Texas toast wasn’t actually toasted. It was buttery and soft, making the sandwich a bit soggy. I ended up toasting it more at home. The beef bacon was also disappointing it wasn’t crispy and was tough to bite through. Lastly, like many niche burger joints, the fries are on the expensive side at $4.00. While the portion might feed two, it's like too much for one person.
Despite these issues, I'd bring a friend lol & I’ll ask them if they can toast the bread more and crisp up...
Read moreHoping this rating will finally catch the attention of a manager. On New Year’s, I ordered Uber Eats from this location. After multiple drivers were turned away, I called the location and the employee who answered said they were slammed and had no idea how long it would take. Eventually a driver was able to pickup my food and 2.5 hours after placing my order it was finally delivered. HOWEVER, when the food arrived all that was in the bag was two burgers, neither of the orders of cheese fries or regular fries I also ordered. Uber refused to give a refund saying “they delivered the order” even though half was missing. I then called the restaurant and the employee goes “oh, they must’ve not picked up the second bag” and left it at that. Simply put, I paid twice as much for food I never received and nobody is taking responsibility. I emailed the store and got a one sentence response saying he forwarded it to the district manager, but since then have been ghosted. Own up to your mistakes and take responsibility. Respect your customers and do the...
