Never thought I'd be giving a bad review for one of my favorite places. Over the past 10+ years, I have only given 1 star to one other restaurant but on this particular visit, this Burger King location certainly earned their 1 star in my opinion. The experience at the Burger King #365, 5115 Kirby Dr., Houston, TX 77098 was really bad from the moment I walked in the restaurant. I waited for the lady (which I asked but nobody would give me her name) to take my order. 10 minutes later I held up my phone and told her I would just order through the app because I figured that would be faster (I was WRONG). I grabbed a table and proceeded on the app with an order and occasionally looked up from my phone and counted 6 different people come in, waited in line and never got their order taken as well and walked out. The lady was totally focused on the drive thru orders only. According to my app, I placed my order at 4:52pm (and didn't receive my prepaid app order until 43 minutes later). The tables were dirty and when I wanted to go wash my hands and maybe grab some wet paper towels from the restroom to wipe my table down, the (vestibule) door leading into the restrooms was locked and she ignored me (and one other customer) when we asked her to open it so we access the restrooms but we were both ignored. At this point I asked about my order (approx. 5:18pm) and got ignored. At approximately 5:25pm a male co worker arrived for his shift and I complained to him. He checked the tickets and didn't see my order at which point I showed him my paid order via the app at 4:52pm. He typed my name into a screen at the front counter and saw my order...which never was started! He handled it starting around 5:30pm and handed me my order at about 5:35pm! Once again, the experience today was truly disgusting and disappointing to say the least. The vestibule door to the bathrooms being locked is also a City of Houston health code violation.
On another note, I decided to do a quick test and once I got my order at 5:35pm, I placed and paid for an order through the Wendy's app at 5:35pm, proceeded to drive approximately 100' next door, walked in and walked out with my Wendy's order at 5:37pm. What's wrong with this picture? I just recently started patronizing Burger King again after a couple of years and now I know how I need to move forward from this latest experience. If you choose to stop by this BK, use the drive thru and you'll get your order right away. I ordered a Whopper and a fish sandwich but ended up eating the Wendy's order instead that evening. I ate the BK fish sandwich today and it wasn't worth the $5+ that I paid. Small 4" bun and salty. The Whopper should be okay but I'm still bothered by my experience that I'll probably just throw it away. I value my time more than anything and I can't get back what was...
Read moreI walked in from washing my car across the street. I had plans to order after using the bathroom. I wanted a icy and the drive thru line was empty. The women working spoke spanish and looked the other way. I was standing by the bathroom entrance it was locked. Stated only customers can use the bathroom.. I respect that but greet me and ask how can u help me..soon as a customee who was eating walked up they greeted him and he asked to be let in. I then said so nobody is going to ask me for assitance. Rude women decided to tell me they are busy doing orders. This was the most unprofessional experience..I live in the neighboor hood.someone needs to train the team how to professionally advise people restrooms are for customers vs ignoring people. I was let on due to the other customers. The bathroom was disgusting. I ordered a cookie ans a pie and left it on the counter. I never had a problem paying to use the restroom its the ignoring of a paying customer and the rude customer...
Read moreBurger King always seem to have good deals. I like their burgers and sides, and I usually get my order very quickly. Prices are reasonable and the menu choices are pretty good too. Recently I tried their Beyond Burger and their mix n match 2 for $5. The Beyond Burger was very good, and I simply could not tell the difference between it and the regular Whopper, which I bought for comparison purposes. So they really seem to have the science of making great plant based burgers down pat. The 2 for $5 was a good deal as well, as two of their burger or chicken sandwiches is a substantial meal, and for only $5. Sides such as their Jalapeno poppers, onion rings, mozarrella, etc are all tasty little additions to any meal. Plus, they did a good job of keeping prices stable during the pandemic, and not price gouging. Overall, good selection and prices, as well as good customer service should keep them firmly in the top 4 of fast...
