(edit added in January: Fairly certain this location is padding their reviews. Many 5 star reviews, all within 2 hours of each other, on a Friday morning? Very obviously fake or coerced.)
Ive lived in the area for my entire life. Been to this location sporadically over time (usually because theres not much else open late) and its become very clear that the only server who is worth a damn is Liz.
Not even exaggerating. Every time i go in there and Liz is NOT there, is a horrible experience. This past sunday, i was with family and firstly, we ordered our drinks and appetizers which we never got and asked for 3 times. 4 orders: 2 steaks, one order of chicken fried chicken, and a plate of chicken tenders. 3 orders come, but the chicken tenders arent there. They said theyre still cooking. 2 steaks (one well done, one medium rare) cooked faster than tenders? Plus, on those plates was the most disgusting, obviously boxed and microwaved mac and cheese, liquid "mashed potatoes" and unseasoned (and looked like uncooked/unseasoned) corn. They cut into their their steaks and chicken fried chicken, and the well done steak is raw, as well as the chicken fried chicken being PURPLE INSIDE. The eggs on the plate were severely undercooked as well, as you could see the clear egg running onto the plate.
Not only was this food disgusting, poorly cooked, and the service was atrocious, but serving this slop to your customers could have gotten one of us sick!
We got up and told them we refused to eat this or pay for the uncooked food we were served, but did pay for our drinks we had. When we were telling the manager, who did NOTHING or even apologize, we mentioned how is it that we only have good visits when Liz works, the manager says "well she will be here in a few minutes, if you want to wait."
SHE SUGGESTED WE WAIT FOR ANOTHER SERVER AFTER BEING SERVED UNDERCOOKED FOOD?! Just close this place down. These morons are going to get someone sick and they clearly cant handle working in food service.
Not even mentioning the awful visits ive had years ago, where i was served raw chicken and witnessed someone drinking the last of our soda out of our cups when they took them to the back.
I can not emphasize enough, Liz does an excellent job. She is the sole reason I even gave this place chances. Seriously, she is way too good for this disgusting place. She will raise hell if the food isnt what you asked for. Shes taken care of me and my friends when one of us had one too many....
Read more6/27/21 I went to this restaurant after calling in my order at 1am. I made it to the restaurant at 1:20. (They told me it would be 20m). I asked if my order was ready because I saw no bags packed to go. At @1:30, a young lady was angry because she says she had been waiting in a booth for over an hour & no one came to the table. So she decided to go up order to go. When her to go order was given to her...it was COMPLETELY wrong. (I SHOULD HAVE LEFT THEN)!! AT 1:45, I asked for my order again. Needless to say...it wasn't ready. I soon noticed she put a container in a bag with my receipt taped to it. So again I asked for my order. She said, I'm waiting on Philly Cheesesteak Omelet. I then asked her not to leave my other order on the counter because it was getting cold. After placing my food back in the window, she came back & said, we're out of steak🤯 I had been there an hour past the 20min they told me, then she kept telling me she's waiting but apparently...that was a LIE the whole time. It was an awful experience & such a waste of time. It was after 2am by the time they decided to tell me. The manager, was no help. I am excited to share with you an incredible experience I recently had at Denny's. I was dining there with my friends when we were introduced to our server, Corbin. From the moment he approached our table, we knew we were in for a treat.
Corbin's cheery disposition was infectious and he quickly became a natural conversationalist. He listened attentively to our orders and even suggested some mouth-watering items off the menu. His recommendations were spot on and his service was exceptional.
Throughout our meal, Corbin maintained a professional and attentive demeanor while checking on us periodically. Furthermore, he made sure our experience was nothing short of exceptional. His friendly and sociable demeanor made Denny's feel like home to us.
It was evident that Corbin's enthusiasm and dedication to his job extended beyond the norm. He took the time to create a great dining experience and we greatly appreciate it.
To anyone who has the fortune of dining at Denny's in the near future, I highly recommend requesting Corbin as your server. He is a true asset to the restaurant and made our dining experience one to remember.
