Nothing special, but better than most in my area at a fair price and good service. Edited 7/8/2022. New owners, or new management, seem to have taken over and made a few changes. New staff, none of which bother to introduce themselves, nor did the manager. I made the mistake of asking for a fresher biscuit, the biscuit supplier must also have changed. They now resemble a child sized pancake (flat) with a hard crust. The eggs were undercooked, as were the hashbrowns. I was alone and reading a book, making clear I was in no rush, yet my breakfast arrived in a matter of a few minutes. I turned down the offer of speaking to a manager. I hate that scene. However, some man whom I assumed was the manager, leaned over my table with a biscuit on a plate and insisted on making said scene by engaging me in a silly conversation about ordering something else. At this point my breakfast is getting cold and people are staring at me. Why do restaurant managers believe that offering up more of the same garbage, at no cost, should fix things right up? I left abruptly and still hungry, after insisting my waiter create a ticket so I could tip him because the manager comped the partially eaten meal. During the height of the pandemic and a skeleton crew for staff, Dennys managed to serve properly cooked food without too much of a wait. I hope it hasn't turned into a "turnstile" type of restaurant. Almost a decade of patronizing this place. I'll give it one more try before finding a better location. Friendswood needs a Cracker Barrel. Edit 8/7/22: So, I stopped in for breakfast, hoping for a better experience. I ordered the same, only an English muffin instead of a biscuit. The muffin was perfect, the hashbrowns golden, but my over medium eggs were undercooked and watery. Not wanting the waitress to be blamed, I took the time to make it clear to the manager that the waitress was not responsible, the cook was. The manager chose to be argumentative and stated that the cook has been there for 35 years! Wow! If this is true, how sad that two eggs still can't be cooked properly. The waitstaff is lovely. The new management/franchise owners have missed the mark on their new suppliers, and their argumentative on-site manager. A decade of good food and good service at this Dennys was a good run. I simply need to find a better place for the occasional...

We were a party of 10 and arrived at the restaurant at 12:45 pm; many people were waiting outside and about 45% of empty tables at the restaurant. When I arrived and checked in, the manager was in a very bad mood; customers complained about why there were so many empty tables, and they are waiting outside. The manager replied to the customers that the kitchen was at a stop (the first time I heard the term at a restaurant)
Around 1:00 pm, he started calling customers; too many left because of the manager's rudeness. The server called around 1:07 pm; the server took only our drinks order and returned ten minutes later. He took our order around 1:17 pm.
One hour later, we asked about our food; kids were starving. The server (Gabriel C) said I'm going to type it right now. We ask, why now? You took our order an hour ago.
He replies that it was the system, and it's how the kitchen manages it. We asked the server to cancel the order; he said that only the manager could do it. Two servers were trying to find the manager; he wasn't available.
After a while, the manager showed up in a very bad mood and started shouting that I asked for a table and waited as long as he wants. I asked him to cancel, and he shouted again, very rude, and he canceled it finally.
It is clear the level of frustration of the manager; he lost control of the restaurant. Too many customers left complaining about the restaurant.
We love Denny's; however, this guy clearly doesn't represent Denny's quality and...
Read more😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡 I have been craving “breakfast for lunch” lately. I was planning to go to Red Oak Cafe (which I LOVE) on West FM 518 today. By the time I left my home they were closed.
I went to Denny’s at Baybrook Mall instead. There were just a few cars in parking lot. I walked in and saw THREE tables occupied in the entire restaurant. I waited at the front desk for approximately 2 minutes with about 4 employees around looking at me before one young MAN approached me. I told him I would like a table for one. He left menu.
I sat there and waited 13 minutes…no water, no server, no greeting etc. I was putting my things together to leave when the young man, whom seated me, noticed me (FINALLY?!?🤷♀️) and asked very confused if my wait person had not arrived. I replied “No. No water, no greeting…NOTHING”. He said he would find my server.
Nope. Not today. To little to late. If I could give 0 stars I would.
😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡 NEVER EVER DINE HERE. The WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER!😡😡😡😡😡 Please beware. There are at least 50 restaurants within a 2 mile radius of this particular Denny’s. Choose one, but NEVER SPEND YOUR MONEY AT THIS DENNY’s because no one employed there cares.
I will say the Denny’s at Victory Lakes in League City is great! It’s about 2 miles away…also off I45 Southbound.
PLEASE TRY THE MANY GOOD AND GREAT SERVICE BREAKFAST RESTAURANTS IN THIS AREA. You will be happy to have never STOPPED and WASTED your time at Denny’s restaurant at Baybrook...
