Domino's Pizza — Restaurant in Houston

May 2023 I order from this store once a month or every 2 months. Today I ordered a pizza 🍕, parmesan bread bites, and a soda. The pizza and bread bites were delivered in a warm case and the temperature was good. The driver also brought the soda and marinara sauce. I noticed on the tracker page that it mentioned Dominique is the manager. I had seen this name before and was pleasantly surprised to see them as the manager! I left a 5 star ⭐ review in their app for the delivery and food. I commented it was a great delivery experience, even with a new driver. The new driver did a great job. 🚗 Please consider tipping 💵 your drivers well.

I received a follow-up call 📞 from the manager, Dominique. He said he was happy to receive the good review and additional comment as feedback. I told him I had good experiences with this store and thanked him for great customer service.

I know people mostly review when they have problems with a store so please 🙏🏼 consider leaving this store a great review if they provide excellent customer service for pick-up or delivery. 🔥

(Around Jan 2023 - original) Despite bad reviews, I've had 2 relatively good experiences with this location. I'm glad to see some other 5 star ⭐ reviews but I do know food service and delivery isn't always perfect. Please tip your drivers well in this economy! 💵

I ordered a month or 2 ago. Delivery was within 45 min. Food was warm but they forgot 1 of the 2 20 oz. sodas 🥤I ordered. It took 10 min to call back because whoever answered the phone didn't understand what I was asking. Finally he agreed to send the soda next time instead of crediting my card (I think this would have taken more time and I wasn't confident it would have been right since he didn't understand.) I probably only order pizza once a month or so.

Fast forward to today. I ordered again in the app. The app was having issues (undefined order status, unknown order status) but the notifications were still correct thankfully. I called the store as soon as I ordered and it did take another 10 min to ask for the soda. First person who answered did not understand 😓 but the person who finally got on the phone after waiting a while did. They added the free soda to my order. 🙏🏼

The pizza 🍕 did arrive lukewarm to cool but the parmesan bites were warm. Not sure if they have the bags to keep things warm or maybe they don't use them or maybe the pizza sat out on the counter for a few extra minutes? Since the last time it arrived warm, not taking a star off at this time. The driver was really nice and again, did bring the extra soda. Delivery was relatively fast, maybe within 30 min (I live close by).

Ordered my pizza follower the tracker that at an hour later still said my food was in the oven. So I called the store the manager (Elon) asked me if I had checked outside my door. I told him no, no one has knocked for me to check so why would I? I checked while on the phone with him and my food was sitting there on my garbage bin, COLD. I told him there was no way anyone knocked and he told me “all of our drivers are instructed to knock “ I asked him if he was calling me a liar and he got silent. I asked what he was going to do about their mistake he offered me a store credit. Sir my food has been on my garbage bin for an hour not to mention you basically called me a liar. Why do I want credit from your store? After moments of silence I asked if he was there and he said he didn’t want to interrupt me, I have been silent at this point for over 30 seconds clearly I’m done speaking. I asked for his bosses name and number he told me to go online. When I asked again he hung up on me. So I proceeded to take the order back up to the store for a refund. I get there, return the food and he tells me in front of my child that they can do it but it won’t be processed until tomorrow. Ok, so he gives me a receipt and I leave. As I am walking to my car I realize there is no credit back so I go back in and ask and he says that no he told me they can’t issue the refund the same day it can’t be done until the following day. So now you’re telling me I didn’t hear you correctly. Or he isn’t actually a manager and has no authority. Either way I’m not sure how he’s in customer service, I will never return to this location again. And yes, I’m making a complaint with corporate. Double charged me go check yall receipts!!! And don’t use gloves!!! I came in for two pick ups on different days one for five something and this one for 14.35 I went up there the man told me to lower my tone and continue to laugh at me and continue to make people pizza with his dirty hands. He told me there was nothing that he can do. I told him why would y’all charge me double when the order is still pending, he said because corporate is closed anyway called the police. They took too long to come be careful. I’m calling corporate in the morning clearly this is two charges one charge completed today at 5:41. Why when another charge is for the same amount when I came and purchased my food, which was at two something on that date, I have never been this disrespected in my life and especially from a person that does not use gloves that’s nasty and here is the proof of everything. I hope my money post tomorrow show me the computer and laugh “ha ha ha you did come here two times “the disrespect is. Terrible the other guy was nice tall guy and the girl felt so bad for us she gave us two dollars to catch the bus home which I just got home from public’s transportation four hours I got off at 6 I called the police . I’m calling corporate in the morning!! As usual can see from the app I only made two purchases I file with a report with bank and a old man in a car that delivers said he couldn’t give me no money for bus fair but he could listen . I have a few Nigerian friends and the ones that I’m not cool with anymore. All they do is steal you think because it’s a young person that they won’t steal will look at what’s going on.
