Will not be returning. My husband thinks two stars is being extremely generous.

While looking at the menu which is huge, we nibbled on chips and salsa and had drinks. We did not like the chips/salsa, and were concerned the rest of the food might be as bad. We did not feel right paying for our drinks and leaving so we stayed and wished we hadn't. The food was beyond bland and the atmosphere was similar to a bingo hall, thankfully the music wasn't blasting as is the case at many other restaurants. Staff were very friendly.

Chips - stale Green stuff... gelatinous or maybe xanthan gum slimy texture, no flavor green stuff, like totally NO flavor. I think they were trying for salsa verde but completely missed the mark, honestly I don't know what they are trying for... Red salsa - no flavor bland but OMG way better than the green stuff, and if I weren't hungry I wouldn't have eaten it at all.

Carne Guisada - bland no flavor Rice - bland no flavor Refried Beans - I actually liked them but they aren't any worse or better than canned beans. Guacamole - The absolute worse thing I've ever tasted. I asked Hubby to taste it but cautioned him to take just a little and he made the worse face and said "OMG this tastes like A$$" I thought it tasted similar to rotting eggs to which he agreed. The color was very bright green didn't look to be spoiled but there was something definitely wrong with it. We even gave it to the waiter and told him to try it because it just tasted so so bad. (We usually don't complain or send things back, and I don't know if the waiter tried it, I hope he did)

Chimichanga - Fajita tasted like frozen packaged meat and the tortilla tasted like a sweet pop tart, the cheese didn't add any flavor. At the Very minimum it needed salt. Rice - bland no flavor Refried Beans - bland no flavor and kinda sweet(Hubby)

Side of sour cream - charged $1.99 and it looked like it just came out of the freezer.

Soda - $2.99 I think is too expensive, but it was actually the best tasting thing I had and I asked for my free refills because Man I was hungry and the food was no good.

The meal prices were comparable to other restaurants but the food was so underwhelming. We will...

Not too impressed. We had a large group, 15 people, but they were not very busy. A good waiter takes orders around the table, which he did, but when food came out, he didn't bother checking his tickets, he called out each plate, and with that many people, they're busy chatting, not listening. My cold plate was delivered early, but I had to ask about my main meal and had eaten my guacamole and chips by the time it was finally delivered. Food was so-so in my opinion though everyone else liked their's. Now comes my biggest pet peeve....deliver the checks!! Let me pay my bill and be free to go when I want. We waited about 30 minutes for the checks, then another 15 while he came and went and didn't take my card although I offered it almost immediately. He walked past and ignored me. He finally came to me after I'd made a trip to the bathroom, and I had to wait longer still. Worst of all, while in the bathroom, an employee was in the main stall and as I was washing up, she began vomiting violently and another coworker came in to check on her, so evidently she'd been in there awhile. VERY disturbing after we'd all just eaten food she'd...

Unless you like grease dripping all over your plate don't go here. The crunch tacos with ground beef were so filled with grease the taco shell was dark and wet with the grease. The person I was with ordered something different called sopa and it looked like they just threw everything on the plate and then threw cheese on top and put it in the microwave. The menu is extremely complicated and overwhelming, maybe if they were trying to cook everything in Mexico and focused on a smaller amount of items and backed off the grease. I could feel the grease in my mouth for the whole ride home and brushed my teeth as soon as I got in the door. I mentioned it to the lady at the register and her only response was "I don't know, I will let the manager know" . I really shouldn't have eaten it at all but I was so hungry because I had been working for hours and didn't have a break to stop and eat. This is the first place I have given a 1 star rating to and wouldn't give a star at all if it was an option. I would not recommend this...

The seating could use updating. Theres holes in a lot of the booths. The server i had couldnt speak english and had to get someone else. The stand in server was rude and didnt understand i wanted a smothered burrito with fajita mixture inside. I was checked on once. It was cold in there and they were skimpy with the sour cream and veggies. When it was time to pay i asked the gentleman if i take the ticket upfront to pay or pay him he was snappy and said "here ill just do it ma'am". Hence why he got tipped $3. I would never go back here again. In a world where mexican food places are all over being rude, stingy with portions, and old furniture will sink you. Customer service is really needed to be updated here. Train your staff to be inviting.

If you know, you know. This is it y'all. They are back from the year plus long haitus and the food is exactly how it used to be. Los Ramirez isn't for everyone, it's cheap food and you can certainly find a better spot for fajitas and the like. But if you want some affordable, cheesy, greasy and absolutely delicious tex mex, or an ice cold beer or margarita for a reasonable price, this is the spot. I never enjoyed the location in Dickinson but since the Clear Lake location has reopened, it's like they never left. The new restaurant is much bigger (and newer, nicer). Lots of the same familiar smiling faces working there. I was afraid they wouldn't be the same when they reopened. But I'm happy to say I was wrong.
