This Lenny's used to be good, but they must be under new management or something because the last two times I have been there, they have gone way downhill. They are extremely skimpy with the cheese, meat, and toppings. The guy making my sandwich actually went so far as to divide a single slice of ham into quarters in order to make the total weight consistent with a single portion. And while I'm on the topic of weighing out portions, he put the entire sandwich (bread and cheese included) onto the scale. The cheese he put on my sandwich maybe on a good day amounted to only 2/3 of a slice, so I don't think it had that much of an effect but still. I'd like to say that he zeroed out the scale before adding the meat to account for the bread and cheese, but judging by the pathetic amount of meat included with my finished sandwich I seriously doubt it. I'm not sure if this is some trick they use to cut cost, or if the guy just really doesn't know any better, but in either case the end result is a whole lot of bread and only a thin line of meat. To his credit, when I complained he replaced the one and a quarter slices of ham that he had reserved, back on the sandwich. It helped, but still didn't even put it back in the ball park. The toppings were added with the same frugality and ineptitude for proper sandwich making as was the meat and cheese, and to top it all off the bread wasn't very fresh. This whole painful to watch process took about 15 minutes. It was about 3:30 in the afternoon on a Wednesday, there were two people working, there was no one in front of me in line, and it still took 15 minutes for the two of them to make me a "sandwich" and take my money. I may go back one more time maybe 6 months from now. If they are in fact under new management, this will give them some time to sort out their act. But after that, I'm done. As difficult as it is for me to say, the last two times I went there, I could have gotten a better...
Read moreEdit: This Lenny's Grill and Subs changed management, and now the service is fast and efficient. I loved how much food I got for ordering a 5" sub. There was an abundant amount of bacon, ham, and provolone. It was cheap, delicious, fresh, and fast. Great job, Lenny's. I hope you guys keep it up. The staff was really friendly too!
Old review: The food was okay and fresh, but the service needs a lot of improvement. Their current way of doing things left many customers waiting a very long time for food. There was no system to the way orders are taken or filled. The few people who worked there ran around like crazy. At one point, the same guy who worked the cash register taking orders ran back to fill the order, deliver the order, and then started cleaning the tables. They could be more efficient if they knew how to put one person in charge of one task like an assembly line instead of everybody running around like crazy...
Read moreLenny's has always been a mediocre sub shop. What I really liked about them was they had their own line of potato chips. They were great. Now they've bended the knee to Frito Lays and only serve their chips. Nothing wrong with Frito Lays but their brand is why I went there. That was strike one today. The place was dead, no one else was eating there. The lady took my order and they managed to get it wrong. The lady said I didn't order it the way I did. I was incredulous. Finally her manager apologized and remade it for me. Mediocre chips, mediocre sub and poor service. I have no reason to return. They were different and had those wonderful chips. Now there's no reason to go out of my way for them. Jimmy John's and Jersey Mike's. Same chips but superior subs...
