Murphy's Deli — Restaurant in Houston

If you're thinking about getting a quick & delicious bite to eat before heading to class or work, do NOT come to this establishment. It takes them about 30 minutes to make one Panini. Not only are they slow, but they are also very disorganized and can't seem to handle a small lunch time rush.

After patiently waiting for half an hour, I approached the Asian man & woman (I'm assuming are the managers) and asked for my money back as I had a class to get to. The man was kind, but the woman tried arguing with me. She claimed she had tried calling me, which was a lie because I stood in front of the sandwich assembly line the entire time. Then I tried offering some calm & constructive criticism and the woman kept shutting me up & waving her hand to me.

Go to Jason's Deli instead, they never disappoint me. If I ever have an issue, however small it may be, they always overcompensate for it kindly. Avoid this rude & slow...

I love to come to this place to get a quick bite to eat in between classes at HCC Spring Branch. I don't understand the bad reviews. I have been coming here for the past few months, and I have always received good experiences.

The food is fresh, delicious, and they make it fast and wrapped or put together really neatly. The staff is nice too. A little quiet and akward, but I prefer than rude ones. The place is clean, even the restroom too. The food can get on the expensive side depending what you get. As a student and for those on a budget, I understand this. But the price is definitely worth it for the value of the food and quality if it as well.

So I do not know if the reviews here are just negative or they rarely eaten at a deli before, but I personally like this place. I especially love their cranberry turkey panini. I decided I will upload more photos here throughout the semester...

CRIMINALS!! The food is good enough (as with most locations), the place is clean enough (as with most locations), but the prices are CRIMINALLY high!! 2 smoked turkey on rye w 2 chips came to $18.26!?!?!? When I asked why, the owner told me rye bread is an upcharge, as is guacamole!?! (...and when I say guacamole, I don't mean the fresh, green avocados you get in EVERY location of Jason's deli, I mean a very sparing smear of brownish-green puree). So anyway, I went to a couple of other Murphy's locations, ordered the EXACT SAME THING, and it came to $13.60(??) And the responses they gave me when I told them about the HCC location (which by the way is meant to cater to STUDENTS on a BUDGET!!!) were all the same: "NO WONDER that location does...
