Been meaning to try Seco's for awhile now because a friend has been telling me she's been eating there for years and always enjoys it. Plus, Jalapeno's (the owner was head chef there) was one of my favorites back in the day! I wasn't disappointed! Tried both the spinach and the corn enchiladas. The spinach enchiladas were good, but the corn enchiladas were fantastic!! The enchiladas were served with the perfect pairing of black beans and white rice with bits of corn. Although completely full, my friend and I ., managed to try two desserts - bread pudding and flan. Chef's kiss to both!! Will definitely be back. Think I'll try the salmon next time ... Read moreUnprofessional owner/chef and waitress. We had issues with food quality. We let the waitress know and the chef/owner said we just wanted free food. The waitress said, "Well we don't get food complaints but sometimes we get bad customers." We were not rude and ate what we could considering we are on timed lunch break. I believe in supporting small businesses but not like this one. I won't be back ever. Lunch was soggy, oily and a disgrace to Salvadorian food. Please be polite to customers. I had no problem paying and tipping well. Even asked for a menu to take back to my coworkers on the way in. Obviously now I will be sharing...
Read moreIt is a nice little restaurant inside a house just north of Rice Village. I have grown to like this place thanks to Rey. Salsa had very little flavor but Rey took care of it and made it with a bit more flavor serranos etc it came back with some good color and exceptional flavor. Red fish and Salmon skewers were excellent as well. Good flavor, nice char from the grill, and most importantly very flakey Non happy hour margarita s at $8 each are a bit out of line.... location, location, location.
