This place is in an excellent location but is having a tough time finding a regular crowd. It is really worth more people giving it a try.
The lack of a crowd is primarily because the bar has changed it's theme a couple of times in the past two years. I don't think a lot of people who got turned off by the previous somewhat funky theme, realize that the bar has changed back to one of the more standard watering hole themes.
Presently the bar is configured to attract a sports loving crowd with several screens indoors and outdoors to watch the most relevant games to Houstonians that are underway It also offers different food and drink specials each night. It also appears that karaoke and trivia games are available on certain nights.
The drink specials are offered at excellent prices. And the food specials are reasonably priced and well made.
For my last visit, I tried out the Monday night steak special and was very pleasantly surprised. The steak was well prepared to my temperature order, was well seasoned, tender and was a large portion of ribeye. It was accompanied by a baked potato and a nice size dinner salad.
Bottles of wine were discounted by 25% and a bucket of 6 beers cost just $20. My 2 dining companions and I enjoyed a mellow Malbec and a bucket of Bud with our meal without...
Read moreLast night my friend (22) and I (23) simply wanted to attend trivia night but instead got accused of having fake idâs. We both have attended our fair share of bars and clubs and have never had an issue getting in, because our idâs are not fake. We were asked to provide our debit cards with names that matched our idâs, which Iâve never been asked to do. After happily obliging, the bartender said she needed to show the idâs to her manager, who looked at them for several minutes before telling us they were not accepting our idâs. We asked why and the bartender responded it was because our pictures did not have the same distance from the edge of the card. For reference, I have had my sideways drivers license since I was 21, 2.5 years for me, and 1 year for her. They did not do any of the other typical id checks, such as using the uv light, only looked at it. My friend then offered to show a picture of an old id on her phone and I called my father to send a picture of my passport because for the first time in my life my government issued drivers licenses was not accepted. The best part of all of this, we donât drink due to religious beliefs. I would recommend training your bartenders on how to properly identify a fake id instead of harassing law abiding citizens who only wanted to...
Read moreI oddly, as quiet and as patient I sat, had an interaction with at least 5 staff members. Racist. . Racist. And more underline RACISM. I ordered online after the storm. Went to pick up 30 minutes later. Bartender printed and showed me my ticket. He said it was last and it would be another 30 minutes. I live less than 5 minutes away so I went home. Came back 40 minutes later. âNow an hour waitâ and I guess it was a cook who said âthe order never made it into the systemâ I was patient and never said anything. When my order was finally done 30 additional minutes. Now a hour an a half wait for 1 burger and some chips. After me waiting on them to finish up their convo with my order waiting next to them 3 more minutes, another waiter/bartender whatever she was yelled across at me, "HEY DOORDASH GUYâ the order is ready. (I ordered through their website) m. I ignored this as well. Asked if they sold soda because I didnât see any online and she says âThey charge for themâ . . . DUH ! ! đ will never give...
