Applebee's Grill + Bar — Restaurant in Huber Heights

Me and my family came here after my lil sisters graduation ceremony. She decided she wanted us all to meet up at Applebees. We arrived around 7:30pm and sat up front almost 20 minutes waiting to be seated even though the place was empty, it was barely anybody there. So the sitting immediately was red flag number one. We get our seats and was greeted by our server Zachary M. The spot we got was freezing cold air above us. First he got a drink order from us, then as he is still at the table we all gave him our food and drink order all at the same time. He leaves and it took him 20 minutes to get our drinks. He made 3 trips. Everybody had got sprite, lemonade, it was one mango smoothie, one margarita, and two of the $5 adult drinks my family ordered. As he brings the very last drink he states okay now I’m putting you guys order in. We was upset when he said that be cause why wouldn’t you put our order in first before you started bringing drinks or start making drinks. We already have been here a solid hour now. After our drinks we waited another whole hour to get our food. It wasnt all ready at the same time either. He brought 2 plates then 10 minutes later 2 more plates was brought then 10 more minutes pass 2 more plates was brought. Literally every 10 minutes only 2 plates was being dropped off until we all got our food. I was the very last to get my food. Every single last of her plates was cold. By the time we all got our food we was asking for to go boxes because we was just ready to leave immediately. I had paid my bill, and my mothers tab as well. Spending over $100 when I should have only been paying half that! I ended up throwing my food away when I got home. Didn’t even get one bite. I wish I did more that night. We was all tired and wanted a good meal before we went home. When we left everybody was upset and over the night at this point. We would never ever recommend this place and will never come back. This is the first time I've eaten at this Applebee's. It reminds me of eating at another one and I have absolutely no idea why I thought Applebee's sold rice cookers??!! 😅 The table ahead of me was having some party.

Funny when I got outside the girl who got the rice cooker was coming out. I mentioned it. I said how the music was good too and the two of us bopper around right outside the front door !! It was cute. We also happened to drive red cars and were parked next to each other.

I just added that in to show a bit of fun!!! I was at that same Applebee's and I called someone, they asked if I were at a club? I said, no, Applebee's!!! I assume a bunch of young people from one of the HBCUs were using the jukebox and the music was phenomenal!! I learned of a Janet Jackson song I never knew about, Rock With You!!!

Anyway, this Applebee's was rocking too music wise but I couldn't figure out if the patrons were picking the music or it were a set exclusive to Applebee's? I requested to be seated on a particular side of the building. They were a bit slow to seat me. I have foot, knee and back problems. I was pleasantly surprised to see how that side had a ramp the entire way to accommodate wheelchairs and walkers!!! The bathroom was great, clean and well decorated.

I had salmon. I really love that. My waiter was really nice. I didn't have a chance to chat like I normally do. I was also a but traumatized from Camping World. I did find about four eggs with my dog but I always have some odd, aggressive, bizarre experiences there!!! The young lady whom I got paired with after the surly, aggressive rn, was exactly who I needed BUT I'd already left the store and was driving to Applebee's. I have no idea how trailer shopping goes. Look out for my Camping...

TL;DR HORRIBLE wait staff, crappy service, stressed out manager, no compensation, kids served last or forgotten about

Went on a Friday night with our kid and were seated fairly fast. It was packed but our drinks and orders were taken fast. Then our waitress flat out disappeared for 30 min. We saw her sporadically taking care of other tables but she never came back to our table. Food finally comes out after 30-40 min but our kids meal is nowhere in sight. We wait thinking it'll be out momentarily, but no. After waiting another 10 min I got up and flagged down another waitress who lies to us and says she'll go check on it. She never does and proceeds to clear off a nearby table, take another table's order then check her phone. After 15 min (my kid has been waiting ever so patiently for her meal) I go to the seating station and politely tell the manager that we are missing our 3rd dinner plate. Lo and behold he comes back an additional 5 min later with the corndog and applesauce. Apparently it takes 40+min to do a corndog and place an applesauce cup on a plate.....Meanwhile another table who'd been there even longer finally got their food, but were told they were out of something and they had to substitute an item. They also promptly got their bill and a free dinner and the manager personally apologized to them.

Our waitress FINALLY reappeared and asked if we needed anything else (we'd already been there for over an hour and a half!). Nothing had been taken off our bill and it took another 15 min for her to come pick it up. As we walked out I overheard another table being compensated with a free meal due to their wait and the kitchen being out of something...
