Venice Pizza — Restaurant in Huntsville

Garbage food!!!! If I could give this place zero stars, I would. All the positive reviews can’t possibly be real because the food here is so bad. Chef Ramsey would be cussing some people out, and I guarantee the owner would be fired too. Have their taste buds been singed off? We stayed at Redstone Arsenal on the way back home to Louisiana. I went through tons of reviews trying to decide where to grab dinner at. My family and I chose Venice based on the reviews. First of all, we asked five different times if they delivered to the Army base and we were told yes. The location was about 5-6 miles away so we wanted to make sure. We placed our order and they called back and said “sorry, we don’t deliver there”. I explained that we asked five different times to make sure and each time they said yes. So we got in the truck and went and picked our order up. We ordered an order of garlic knots, a side of baked ziti, two pizzas (one Hawaiian pizza and one meat pizza minus sausage) and some cheese sticks. The entire order was REALLY disappointing. The garlic knots tasted old and chewy. I’m not even sure what the baked ziti was supposed to be. I received penne noodles with red sauce and some type of seasoning on top, and no cheese. The sauce was gross and bland. My local pure Italian restaurant owner back home would have tossed it straight into the garbage. The pizza crust just okay, but it tasted like the packaged crusts from Wal-Mart. The pizza sauce wasn’t even as good as chef boyarde’s. My son had one slice of the meat pizza and wouldn’t finish. I had about two bites of a slice of the meat pizza. My husband LOVES pizza and doesn’t turn down a chance to eat pizza. He will eat almost anything, and he said this pizza was the worst he’s ever had and didn’t finish eating three slices of his Hawaiian pizza. The only thing that was good about our experience was that the food was ready very quickly (with in 15 minutes) and the portion sizes were pretty good for the cost. However the food was gross and that’s putting it nicely. Find some where...

I used to love the variety at Venice Pizza. In the past I have ordered calamari, french fries, various sandwiches, pizzas, etc. and all have been very good. The last 2 times I have ordered from there I have been very disappointed. Tonight I ordered 20 wings and a calamari dinner with fries. The total with tax was over $30. When I opened the box (I live a mere 2 minutes from the place), the calamari were clearly over fried and a gross dark brown color. The french fries were greasy and limp, and the wings were overdone and had the look of freezer burned meat. I called to inform them of the quality issue and when I told them I wanted a refund and not just a discount on the next order, they insisted on having a delivery driver come and inspect and pick up the food (I guess to make sure we had not eaten it all). I couldn't care less they wanted to come pick up the food but it was the way it was stated to me. Again, I have ordered from them on several occasions and never had a complaint, something I'm sure they can see when my order info comes up. Based on the disgusting quality of the food, the rudeness of the person I spoke with on the phone, and their insinuation that I was just trying to get a free meal, I will NEVER order from them again. We ordered take out for our family of 4. We had just had a 6 hour drive so were hungry and thought it had good reviews so we would try it out. Boy were we wrong..we ordered 3 meat sauce spaghetti's and a small pizza. The spaghetti's were filled with water at the bottom couple inches of the bowl, the meat sauce was more like tomato paste with a meatball for the meat, and there was a thick layer of cheese on the top, although no where in the add did it say it was baked spaghetti. The taste of the paste they call sauce was the blandest thing I have ever tasted. In addition our salads did not come with any dressings. Staying in a hotel these were very bland salads as we did not have any dressings like we would have at home. When we called toa sk about all this, he said he would credit our account or we could come back to pick up the dressings. it was a 25 minute drive from where we were one way and we were very hungry so didn't want to drive back all that way. When we were picking it up, I made sure to mention everything we had and the guy at the frontt looked in both bags and said everything was there. My mistake for not double checking for dressing.The only good thing was...
