Fantastic Games — Local services in Boise

Great selection for such a small space. Very busy which is great, gave it only a 2 due to they were selling an item that was clearly marked for free RPG day. It did not have a barcode and the guy behind the counter could not figure it out. Maybe don't sell stuff that was given out for free. And the guy behind the counter when a customer asked what the hottest games were for 2023 said he'd only been working there 3 months and was not able to help. No suggestions, nothing. Just sat there. As a board and card game enthusiast I ended up helping the customer and helping this store make a bigger sale than they would have otherwise. Very disappointed on the customer service. And though I did it for the customer and the spreading of the love for games it would have been nice if this new employee had at least thanked me, lol. Who are you guys hiring? Shouldn't they know card and board games? We still spent money their as we like to support local business's but very disappointed....

Phenomenal Service!!!! This is the first time I have ordered anything from Fantastic Games. I ordered a version of the board game Candyland that I had been looking for forever without success. I was thrilled to see Fantastic Games had it and for a great price. I was expecting it to arrive in a month or so and I was floored when it came the next week. Unfortunately when I opened the box I realized I had been sent the wrong version. I called Fantastic Games and the representative was Amazing. He was friendly, apologetic and immediately set about to rectify the situation by sending me the correct game for free. I could not be more impressed with such Fantastic customer service. I have 4 tiny tots at home and will definitely be ordering more games from...

Came in to return a clearly counterfeit copy of a game! The shrink was barely hanging onto the box (it couldn't even close properly), the dice were the wrong set, the meeple and boards were of extremely poor quality. The box and rulebook also had obvious printing errors that don't match the actual game. Staff did not believe that the copy was a fake, had to speak to an owner over the phone and even they didn't believe me. No attempt was made to verify the copy was illegitimate, and they almost denied me a refund on the basis that "it was opened." Absolutely unbelievable. Boise has many great alternative game store options...
