Chicken Salad Chick — Restaurant in Indianapolis

I went yesterday for the first time with my boyfriend and I have some mixed opinions. He ordered the classic chicken salad sandwich on a croissant with a side of mac & cheese, and I got the lemon basil chicken salad sandwich (also on a croissant) with pasta salad. We were asked to pull forward after paying and told that our meal would be brought out to us. We must've been waiting in the front of the line for 8 minutes (being in the line for 15-20minutes total) when a car behind us honked with their food. I pulled into a parking place and my boyfriend went inside to ask about our order. The employee that he spoke to did not understand what happened, but handed him our order and threw in some free cookies as compensation, which I appreciate! Both of our chicken salads were absolutely divine. The flavors were great! However, my pasta salad had no olives and was a much smaller portion than my boyfriend's mac & cheese. The pasta salad also tasted a bit bland to me. There was not enough chicken salad in my sandwich either. Speaking of sandwiches, there were no tomatoes or lettuce on it when we were told that it came with some! Overall, the chicken salad is great, but the sides and portions are lacking. With the exclusion of the tomatoes and lettuce, small portions, and bland sides, I do not think that the meal was worth the $8.49 it sells for. I will however give this location another try, since the chicken salad was so good. I'm hopeful of a better experience the next time! Regardless, I am definitely inspired to make my own lemon basil...

I am very disappointed with my experience. Tried going here today on my lunch break. I am a teacher so very limited on time. I ordered ahead online and paid as I figured that would save me some time. Arrived at this location in the Drive-thru and was told they had my order and to pull around. Got around with only 2 cars in front of me and was told somebody already picked it up. How? The same person from the speaker wasbat the windowbso it doesn't make sense how the order would disappear if you said you had it. They made it seem like a huge production to simply have the food remade. They asked me if I could pull up, have a discussion with the manager about what happened to my food, etc. I did not have time for all of that as I had to be back to pick my kids up from lunch. I just asked for a refund at that point. The lady in the drive-thru apologized but also sent her with the refund. Never once did the manager apologize or try to rectify. So I left with no food for my lunch or for the rest of the day. I'm not sure I will try this...

LOVE this place!! Several varieties to choose from, very reasonable price for "the Chick". Under $10 for a chicken salad croissant with lettuce and tomato, plus an additional scoop of chicken salad on the side. I get a different variety for the scoop and eat that with crackers as a second meal. Comes with a mini iced Cheryl's cookie. You could get a different side instead, if you don't want an extra scoop of chicken salad. Add a third side such as soup for $2. Three soup choices daily. I love the Strawberry Lemonade and Vitamin Water too. The chicken is shredded so there is No Skimping on the chicken! Also tried their 3 layer white chocolate cake $5.95 with plenty of buttercream icing. Good flavor, good price as the slice is huge. Personally I do Not care for their pasta salad though.
