Claypool Coffee & Ice Cream — Restaurant in Indianapolis

Wow I am truly impressed withthis creamery! I went here with a friend for the first time yesterday, and we were blown away by the wide selection of ice cream flavors and coffee drinks that they had on their menu.

The ice cream is very high quality, and I would argue very reasonably priced for downtown Indianapolis. While it did take a few minutes for my frappe to be made, it was very delicious and aesthetically pleasing!

The seating both inside and outside the creamery is comfortable and pleasing to look at, and this would be the perfect spot to go for a friend hangout or a small after business session. It is also VERY clean; it is clear that shelving/surfaces are wiped down frequently and the floors are spotless. And with TJ max close by, it’s also the perfect spot to go shopping and eating!

And lastly, I would be remiss if I didn’t mention the staff/owners of true location. GREAT customer service, very friendly, lots of warm smiles and eye contact ( a rarity today), and provided a lot of information about the ice cream flavors. The owner even nicely gave me three flavors with my order because one of the initial two flavors I wanted only had enough for a half scoop, not a full one.

My wife and I were passing through Indianapolis from Chicago, and before hitting the road again, she was craving coffee and I had a taste for ice cream. Like most of us do, we searched for a spot—and boom! Up pops Claypool Coffee and Ice Cream.

Being Indy, of course we had to loop around downtown a few times before finally landing at the right place. We made our way up to the third floor of the building and found the shop. That’s where we met Fahem.

He let us know they had just opened a week ago, and we shared how we were drawn there by our coffee-and-ice-cream cravings. Fahem was welcoming, kind, and served us with a genuine smile.
