Jack's Donuts — Restaurant in Indianapolis

Let me start by saying, I do not live local to this donut shop. I live in Michigan. My husband found it while away on business. They used to have THE BEST apple fritters. So good that, when he was in town, he'd typically reserve and purchase 3-4 fritters and bring them home as treats, since our whole family loved them. At that time, they were $6 per fritter. A bit expensive for a donut, but worth it because they were that good. For starters, they were HUGE, 2-3 times the size they are now. They were also cooked to perfection, with hills and valleys in the shape, and just the right crispy-greasy bite on the outside. Most importantly, they had big bites of sliced apples dispersed just right throughout the donut (I'd wager that's what gave them their hills and valley shape). Sadly, about a year or so ago, the fritters changed drastically. They decreased the price to $4 per fritter, but shrunk it by about 60 percent. They are now a more uniform shape, and taste a bit more bland and doughy. Gone are the delicious apple slices/chunks, that made them what they were. Now your lucky to find tiny bits of apple, that are cooked down to a tiny bit of appley goo that is almost indistinguishable from the dough. Let me ask you this Jack's: Why change a great thing? You had a product that was so good, people would remember it, and even come from out of town to get it. Now you have a run-of-the mill fritter that can be found for less than a buck at any local mart or gas station. Unless you bring back the old version of your apple fritters, my husband will no longer be going...

Alway's Freshly Made&Served No Matter Of The Requested Amount's/Total That's Desired When Ordering During Your Visit's Or During A Take Out Order When Headed To Work,College Classe's,Or A Morning Breakfast Routine With Family&Friend's,& For Those Who Are Traveling& Passing Through The Town, During Business Hour's On A Weekly Basis.Depending On The Business Schedule Hour's Info That Jack's Provide's For Their Customer's When Visiting Like Most Place's Often Do. This Place Is NOTHING Like Any Donut Shop I've Visited Before,Mainly Because Of it's Offering's&All The Amazing Variety Of Selective Snack's, Donut's&Other Treat's On Their Menu,You Can't Alway's See Those Kind Of Menu Selection's To Choose From Because Your Basic Donut Shop Doesn't Have A Variety Of Large Selective Choice's Provided On Their Menu&Or They Don't Really Have Much Of A Good Selection That's Often Provided For Their Customer's. So I went to Jacks this morning to the downtown location off Market st and was served two old hard dry stale doughnuts. I’ve spent plenty of money with this location and I know what a fresh doughnut tastes like. I called the store to ask for them to write my name down and the young guy was so rude like bring them back only way to get a refund. He was definitely being petty about my time and gas but since he hung up in my face and I got there in person I said was it appropriate for you to hang up on me and he said yes!!! You will be getting a bad review on every platform because of the horrible customer service and I’ll never spend a penny with you again! Talk to your rude employees! Response to the below comment. I didn't go in front of any customers I waited my turn like I always do. Look at your camera's before you start believing your rude employees. And because of your response I will leave my other reviews. Not once did you take accountability for your bad products and service! Good luck staying in business...
