When I was craving a sub, I knew I had to give Jersey Mike’s a try, and so I had decided to take a trip in and order me a sub. When I walked through the door, I was a little confused, there was a small counter space and a bunch of teenagers standing around off to the corner of it. I had made my way over and briefly told the gentlemen that I had never been there before.
To my surprise this did not change his agitated attitude towards me but seemed to irritate him more that I was trying to decide what I wanted. Before I had visited, I briefly looked over their menu and saw some sandwich’s that I would like but wanted to give the menu one last look before I ordered. Then I decided on the Italian, a classic in the sub world. Everyone has their own take on even at Jersey Mike’s so I definitely ordered it the Mike’s way. He then asked me what size I wanted I told him, giant (I was starving) and then asked for what bread so I told him I want it on white. I then told him how I wanted it Mike’s Way with mayo. He then instructed me that the girl at the register will get me. I slide down the counter and told the girl how I wanted it but she either did not hear me or was distracted. She only wanted my form of payment and a tip.
That is fine, I guess I will eat it plain, I guess. Meanwhile all this is going on they are repeatedly calling out for a girl to come and assist them as there is another customer. I step off to the side and begin just goofing off on my phone. Another woman had come from the back and was now helping with my sub. This woman then yells across the store at me asking me how I want my sub. To say the least I was embarrassed and kind of taken away for a second. In all the sandwich shops I have visited (Subway, Penn Station, Capriottis, Jimmy Johns, Which Which, and even Quiznos). I have never seen a more broken order of operations than this. I apologized to the lady, since it was my first time and all and instructed her like I had the first gentlemen how I wanted my sandwich made. I felt terrible cause they had not even taken my name or nothing for the sandwich so the girl kind of just looked in my direction to single me out as the “new” customer. She went back to preparing my sub and I kind of just went back to where I was standing but was just in shock about my whole experience here. When I saw her wrapping up my sub I went to the counter and was told to have a nice and handed my sub. If I were to describe my visit in one word it would be disappointed.
The sub was good though, but I will look to Jersey Mike’s last when wanting a sub here on out, or at least order online before dealing with the...
Read moreUse Google to get there at 9:53. Turns out they closed at nine. I didn’t know that when I walked in. They didn’t tell me that they just acted like they were arbitrarily closed early. I tried to let the woman in the picture now that Google had directed me there saying that they were open so that she could prevent it from happening again. She just got even router and insisted that I was wrong. so I went and got my phone to show it to her when I came back to show it to her. They were a total of three men and her the man and her both continued to be slightly rude Especially her. She continued to argue with me even after her manager let her know that my phone really did show that they were open until 10 o’clock and it still wasn’t 10 o’clock. I didn’t really have a restaurant, But I definitely didn’t want to be treated like that. So I asked her who I should let know at corporate I spoke with, and took her picture for corporate. She got even more angry and tried to give me some lecture about it being illegal to take someone’s picture, which which is ridiculous in the state of Indiana. Her actual boss seem to get that there was no problem other than her attitude and Google giving the wrong timeframe. Either way I drove down the street and got good food. I won’t be returning if I walk in and find her...
Read moreI gave them 2 stars because the food is delicious. However, the service at this location is horrible. Not only do they mess up my order often but the many of workers have attitudes and act like they’re doing you a favor by doing their jobs!
I live close to this location but I make the drive to the Jersey Mike’s located at 135 and Smith Valley now and skip the attitude and lackluster service of the Emerson location.
The location at Smith Valley and 135 is night and day better. Not only do they get your order right but they’re nice and cheerful! I highly recommend them!
Also the Emerson location has a sign on the door that they’re hiring for employees and they advertise a wage of up to $17/crew and up to $21/managers but then there’s an “*” by the amounts and says “INCLUDES TIP GUARANTEE”!!!!!
No way I’d support whoever franchised this location doing underhanded things like applying the tip jar to not only regular crew members hourly pay but managers also!
If I recall correctly Starbucks got sued for this very...
