Avoid this hotel at all costs- they lie and have no regard for safety. At 9am on 8/11/23 we noticed an electrical burn smell in our room and called the front desk. The person came to the room to check things out and said they’d call an electrician. We left for the day and assumed we’d get a phone call if something was amiss. When we returned at 4pm, the burning smell was still present and it didn’t look like anything had been investigated so we called the desk again. They came to check things out and said we’d probably have to move rooms and switched out the air conditioner (even though the smell wasn’t coming from the air conditioner or that general area). We went to dinner and came back and the smell was still there but an air freshener had clearly been sprayed because there was an additional scent in the room, so we called again and they said they’d call the manager. At 8pm we called again trying to figure out what was going on because it was late and my children were sleepy but I didn’t want to stay in a room with a strong burning smell because it wasn’t safe. At 9:30pm someone came by and said they can’t do anything about the smell and don’t have any extra rooms so they would give us a partial refund for the night and we could leave. This was absolutely unacceptable because we had been notifying them of the smell since 9am and they could have told us to find different lodging at that point. By 9:30pm, there were no other hotels in the area with vacancies, my children were and already asleep, and we (and our belongings) had been exposed to the smell for over 12 hours. I explained that this was unreasonable and they should have asked us to relocate or should have found us a different room when we first called at 9am. I asked for a carbon monoxide detector and was told they “didn’t have any” which is obviously illegal. On top of all of this, the ceiling in our bathroom began leaking water, which I took a video of to show the front desk. After taking to the staff and calling the Quality Inn customer service line, I was told that we would receive a refund for our stay since the smell was so terrible and they did not relocate us when we first mentioned the burning smell. We ended up having to stay in the horrible smelling room and left early in the morning. When we checked out, I was told that the manager wasn’t there yet and he would process the refund when he arrived. That was 8 days ago and I have yet to receive the refund and the staff there has been very combative when trying to resolve this issue. I have been calling the customer service line daily and have been told day after day that the manager would call me an issue a refund, but he never does. When I follow up with the customer service line, they tell me he’s now backtracking on his word and refusing to give me the refund. When they call and talk to him, they always tell me he claims he’ll give a refund but then everyday the process starts over again. It has been over a week and I still do not have a resolution and have not heard from the manager. Overall, this has been by far the absolute worst experience I have had with a hotel and I will absolutely not recommend Quality Inns to anyone I speak to about hotels. Shame on you for allowing your hotel managers to treat customers with such disrespect and disregard for their health and safety.

A friend of mine and I were attending an event in Indianapolis and shared a room for three days. We were going to be coming and going independently for three days. I got there before him and checked in. After putting my things in the room I realized the man at the desk had only given me one key card. When I returned to the front desk there was no one there and I couldn't get anyone's attention. Later, when I saw him at the desk again, I pointed out that he had given me only one card, and his response was, "You need two cards?" I don't remember how many times the cards failed to unlock the door, but it must have been at least a half dozen times and maybe more. When I checked in on Wednesday the whole tiled lobby floor was filthy, and it still was when I checked out on Saturday. The hallway carpet needed to be vacuumed, too. The toilet didn't flush effectively, and when I told them that if they would bring me a plunger I would try to fix it myself. They brought me one and I tried unsuccessfully to unstop the toilet. Then one of their staff worked on it while I was on the bed working on my laptop. In a while he came out and said it was fixed, and I thanked him. When I went in the bathroom later I discovered that when he left he had let water from the toilet bowl drip from the plunger all over the floor from the toilet bowl all the way to the door. He hadn't even fixed it. The toilet still didn't flush properly and never did again up to check out time. They advertise a hot breakfast, but this was terribly fraudulent. All that was offered was a bowl of apples, a bowl of rotten bananas, yogurt, and some little homemade muffins wrapped in cellophane. The room rate was much, much higher than what was advertised on the internet. There are several other hotels--nice ones--all around this one in which the internet advertised rate was what I actually had to pay at the Quality Inn, and the whole time I thought about how I could have had much nicer accommodations for probably about the same price.

I booked my stay at this hotel solely on the price, with it being a cheaper option for a last minute trip. I stood for superbowl sunday and left early monday morning, the only thing i really appreciate is them working with us , we didn't realize the time change ( we aren't from indy) and ended up being 45 minutes late but they held our room due to us calling ahead of time. I appreciate that, but upon entering the room, the travel size things they offer were already used, there was a bit of trash in the bathroom garbage bin, hair inside the sink as well as burn marks on the actual sink itself. The shower was in terrible condition with a portion of the ceiling actually looking like it was going to fall, there was brown stains all over the ceiling (mold?) as well as certain parts of the wall within the room being peeled. I know no matter what hotel you stay at , you're staying in a room most likely that was used by someone else BUT to actively walk into that room and can tell it was most recently used by someone else and it being easy to tell bothered me. The staff was nice don't get me wrong but the room quality was just not it, next time i will be spending extra because this experience wasn't it. I also still haven't recieved the security deposit they take out, i was told 3-5 days after check out which was monday, i should be seeing something today and havent.

The lobby smelled way too strong, didn't want to get breakfast because the smell was burning my eyes. There were 2 men talking in the lobby, not in English, so loud that I couldn't hear the lady at the front desk, if she would have tried to talk to me but she didn't say anything except hello and credit card in that machine please. There was a man, very nice, repairing something in the room when we walked in so my daughter was scared the rest of the time. The plugs were all lose so nothing would stay in the plug, yes we tried them all. I had to hold the plug in the wall while I was blow drying my hair. could not charge my extra phone battery because it would fall out of the wall plugs and the lamps were made so that nothing would fit in the plugs. I had to shove the charger into the lamp plug to get phone charger to fit. The shower head was covered in white hard water residue, the water was spraying in different directions. The shower nob was dirty and REALLY hard to turn!! the towels were old and rough, the wash cloth looked like a cleaning rag, stained and dingy. the bed made a noise every time I moved so I didn't get much sleep. The bed was very flat and hard. The pillow were not good condition. I was glad I brought a candle, air freshener and hand soap because the room smelled bad and the quality of the soap provided was terrible. there was no shampoo or conditioner or body soap provided. Thank goodness I pack my own just in case. the chairs at the little table in the room were so dusty that I used my pool towel from home over the chair before I put my bag on the chair. When I was cleaning up to leave and a centipede came out of the bed. We went to our friend's hotel to swim because I didn't want to be at our hotel. I appreciate the lower rate but I will not stay at a Quality Inn ever again. The owners really need to step up their game in this hotel. The only thing I can say that was nice was the TV and the refrigerator worked well. The microwave worked but the nob was lose so had to set our own timer for pop corn. I would have changed hotels if I would have had time, we had to be at the Beech Grove High School for dance comp early and stayed late both days. simply didn't have time to deal with it. I have to admit I wouldn't pay 100.00 to stay...

We, my family and I reserved our rooms in MAY 2022, for a family wedding, just held Sept. 3rd, 2022! Our rooms were booked/ reserved in MAY! My mother, sister, and neice arrived at the hotel before myself, son and fiancee did. When they checked into their rooms? Their rooms were filthy...one king suite had the last guests fake fingernails alllll over the floor! Smelled of mold and ac units full of black mold! Given new rooms and those were just as filthy! One double queen room had a section of it's ceiling looking like it was ready to fall on them above the bed and covered in black mold! By the time I arrived to Indiana? The entire family, including myself, had reserved rooms at the Hilton and hope to have our money refunded for the rooms we reserved and prepaid for back in May 2022! I understand employee shortages, are ,seen everywhere, and can cause problems to ANY business, but the issue I seen in pic by the time I arrived from Missouri to Indiana from family, that not only tried to check into their first rooms, but LEFT after viewing their 2nd rooms given, I was shocked! The beds were made but the sheets were NOT CHANGED! Makeup and nasty stains from former guests were in the bed sheets! Tub had pubic hair, left in it! ...and AC vents blowing air between layers of BLACK MOLD! Personally? I may have lost my $130+ on a one night prepaid stay, Sept. 2, 2022? - however? I HOPE any other traveller, like myself, reads my review and steers clear of this black mold utopia and stays elsewhere, like I did! ...no one should be driving for HOURS to get to their hotel to find the rooms so disgusting! ...seriously? Where is the housekeeping manager who inspects the rooms for cleanliness checks after they are cleaned by his/her staff??? ...chewed gum on the headboard....fake fingernails alllll over the floor...black mold in the ac unit vents...pubic hair in the tubs...bedsheets pillowcases we're used and dirty ...mold in the refrigerator = ceiling crumbling and covered in black mold???? I truly HOPE Indianapolis health inspectors come and inspect this hotel! As it truly...
