Leaving a review for an establishment is not typically my S.O.P.. Often I feel that my returning to a business is ample assurance of satisfaction and, inversely, the discontinuation of support to be a silent protest. My experience at Massachusetts Ave. location of Kilwins Saturday evening required going outside of my norm.
An employee named Evan offered some of the best service I have EVER experienced. He was kind and patient with a family experiencing the indecisive spin I'm sure to be common amongst the parlor's many patrons. He assured me that he would assist me when they were done while never hurring them along.
After they made their choices, he extended to me the same kindness and warmth he had shown them. I had my mind made up days ago that I was going to purchase a prepacked container of the praline ice cream. I noticed that there were also containers labeled Georgia Peach but I didn't see it available at the counter. He described the peach ice cream so well that I purchased a container of it as well.
He made the experience so pleasant for everyone he encountered! I selfishly hope that he remains at this location. In case you were wondering, the peach ice cream is as nuanced and delightful as...
Read moreI was disappointed with the negative review. If you want ice cream from the grocery store at a cheaper price, get it. But if you want quality and friendly interaction, this is the place. It was all so good and different from the ordinary. I researched, and there is a store in San Antonio that I will go to soon. I am thinking Christmas and birthday treats. Quality and a tickle for the taste buds is priceless. This is a must go if you are in Indianapolis. But plan to spend some time with the guys behind the counter as they are delightful. Thanks for a...

This was the only thing my girlfriend and I both ate yesterday, and we both got violently sick. It smelled like sewage inside the store, which was so unpleasant that we almost left before we could be helped. I figured it was just some unrelated city problem they couldn't control, but now since we got sick, I'm wondering if there is a sanitation issue. I've heard good things about Kilwin's, and I'm disappointed to learn that it's not worth the risk for me to return after my...
