La Margarita followed by Tappers used to be our go to date night when we wanted tacos and/or margaritas & beer. That was before they moved from fountain square to the new location that is literally next door to Tappers. Now you can visit two gems at the same time without having to walk, move your car, or call a second uber (I’ve done all 3)!
As a regular patron of La Margarita for the past several years - I can confirm that the food is just as excellent (maybe even slightly better) as it ever was. Maybe it was the new location, but the salsa roja (red) was just a little bit spicier, the tacos seemed a little bit meatier, and the Cabos burrito seemed even better than ever. The Cabos Burrito still reminds me of the closest thing to a true California burrito than anything else I’ve gotten since moving to Indy nearly a decade ago (pro tip: add guac to it!).
If you like tacos, drinks (especially margaritas and/or good tap beers) and classic arcade games - eat dinner at La Margarita and walk 5 steps next door to tappers where they only charge a one drink cover for free gameplay. You won’t be disappointed!!

Read moreBoyfriend & I came here on a whim for Sunday lunch and were pleasantly surprised! We started with the guac which we both agreed was the best we’ve had in Indy and the chips were hot and fresh! We both got tacos- the al pastor was our favorite. It was comfortably busy, not too hectic but enough to provide an atmosphere. Service was attentive without being overbearing. Everything very reasonably priced. Only complaints- steak taco was a tad dry and green salsa wasn’t provided which is pretty standard for street tacos. Other than that, a casual cozy spot we both...
