My wife and I went on a cold Saturday evening. The restaurant was busy, but not full.
The quality of the food was above average. The value of the food was sub-par. The quantity of the food was sub-par. I've never seen a "specialty" roll - which is higher priced - be the same size as a standard spicy tuna roll anywhere else in Indy or any other city.
The service was awful. We never got water refilled. We were never asked if we wanted another cocktail. The cocktails we did receive were prepared by our server (not the bartender) and were average. Watching the flow of the restaurant gave us the impression that the entirety of the serving experience was chaos - every man for themselves, doing everything (running food, bussing, making drinks, taking orders, etc). Our server was kind.
The atmosphere was nice. It's a beautiful place.
I wouldn't go back.

Their server and bartender for the night was personable and considerate. I expressed my need for gluten-free items and the server brought a gluten free soy sauce so I could enjoy the food even more.
All items that were ordered were excellent and the flavor was well rounded and nuanced. Without any soy sauce the sushi and sashimi was able to stand on its own. The salmon sashimi was the best I have ever had with wonderful buttery flavor and a firm but smooth texture.
The atmosphere was inviting and soothing with a modern aesthetic. There were plenty of tables and space at the bar and everything was clean.
I highly recommend that you eat here if...
Read moreVisiting in Indianapolis from Virginia, this is Absolutely THE BEST sushi we’ve ever had - anywhere! The restaurant, the welcome, the service and attention by the server and the hostess, the ambiance, the presentation of the food, and the quality of the fish was all top class.
We started with miso soup and seaweed salad - both excellent, followed by several types of nigiri - tuna, salmon, yellowtail, mackerel, and eel; special rolls - Volcano, Orange Blossom, Rock ‘n Roll, and Spicy Tuna; and sashimi - salmon and yellowtail. We were extremely impressed with the freshness and quality of all the fish and especially the sashimi as it felt like it melted in the mouth, as well as the presentation.
We love our favorite sushi restaurant back home, but this place “takes the cake”. We would highly recommend...
