This local pub was recommended while in the city and I decided to check it out. I ordered the bacon jam burger, medium, after receiving a glowing recommendation from my server. Upon arrival, the food appeared well prepared. However when getting into the burger it was lackluster. The burger was overcooked and had zero flavor outside of the condiment I placed on it. The description provided included a red wine reduction sauce covered in smoked Gouda cheese etc. The crinkle fries while cooked well, crisp, were certainly out of a bag. I also added a piece of peanut butter pie as it was also recommended. The pie was smooth and was covered with what appeared to be a store purchased chocolate sauce. The service I received was fantastic. My server, Nicole was amazing and had great knowledge of the menu and recipe construction. I just wish the food matched her description. If you are looking for a homemade menu, I would pass. If you are looking for a quick, and kind experience and don’t care about the food, this should be your place. Food price was to be expected, and I did not feel it was overpriced.

1. The menu online is a myth. The real menu is more limited. 2. The chili is 75% beans. That's whatever, but not ok for a Taco salad. 3. Their beer list shows a lack of understanding of beer in general and how it pairs with food. 4. The beers are half pours. 5. My sandwich was bland. I don't suggest the English beef. 6. They asked how we wanted our burgers and then made them all well done anyway. 7. The burgers were smaller than the buns. 8. Their pickles are gross. Neither dill, nor bread and butter, but some middle ground that makes you want them as far from your food as possible. 9. The bathroom was gross. 10. Our appetizer was brought out with our entrées. 11. The fries were cold and soggy 12. The kettle chips were good. 13. The service was friendly.

Don't bother. Assumed this was an attempt at an Irish Pub. If it was, it was a big miss (eaten at close to a 100 around the world including Dublin and other villages in Ireland). I ordered the Reuben (supposedly highly rated) and the accompanying potato salad. Both were sickeningly sweet, especially the spread on the sandwich. Tried to tone them down with mustard (vinegar base to offset the sugar) to no avail. Second thing, I was there during an Indiana Fever game. The place has at least a dozen TVs but the bartender had no way to control them so didn't even have the local game tuned in and 1/3rd of the monitors were black. Finally, beer. For a so-so local IPA, they were charging nearly $10 a pint--are you kidding!!!! Pass on this place--bad food, bad experience.

My teacher cohort came here for lunch after our ISTA Rally at the state house across the street. This is important because I’m 100% certain this is why we were treated the way we were. There was a group of 14, so we were split up between two tables (and that’s fine- of course!! 14 ppl is hard to accommodate) However, one of our tables had their food before the table I was at even had received their drinks. When the “manager” had one plate of food in his hand left to deliver, I said “hey, excuse me sir” which is all I could get out before he replied “knock knock” so I went with it and thought he was going to tell a joke. I said who’s there? He replied to me, Interrupting cow. Apparently you’re an interrupting cow and proceeded to walk off. My table sat there in disbelief. He came back by 5 minutes later and said Yes what’s up dear so I said It’s no problem but we are with that table and need to be back at the statehouse at 1:30 and we haven’t even gotten our drinks. Could you check that everything is okay? The manager said nothing about the drinks but made a sarcastic remark, mocking me saying Oh I bet you do need to be back over there don’t you, laughing, and then proceeded with “Hey let me ask you a question, do you teach your kids to raise their hand or do they all just blurt out and interrupt like you” and then waited for my response. It was obvious he wanted a scene to kick us out or make it a problem. We waited on our drinks for 46 minutes. Meanwhile every other table around us was served. I have never been treated so disrespectfully in a customer service setting ever and it was completely clear why. I will never return and will encourage others to do the same. Our server personally was very nice and seemed to be training, but the manager ruined the...

We were excited to eat at this pub. I am a huge soup person. The chili was quite good; I would recommend it. The potato soup, on the other hand, tasted like it was made by the instructions on the Campbell’s soup can it came from: with a can of milk added in. The whole soup tasted like milk! No cheese, no bacon… I understand it wasn’t loaded baked potato soup but it also was not labeled as “milk”. Cannot recommend that one. My real problem with this place stems from the service we received. It was a Thursday evening when we stopped in, and our server (I believe it was Sal? Sam? I cannot remember what our receipt said, black-hair male) said maybe a grand total of 10 words to us. Did not feel welcomed at all. He seemed bewildered when I sent the potato soup back for another round of chili. And to top it off - my partner paid in cash and she did not get her change. Like… what?! You cannot assume you get to keep the change! She is a server herself - she felt betrayed by her own kind! When I heard that she was just going to get up and leave without getting her change, I stood up and talked to the bartender. SHE was nice, friendly, and seemed ashamed that we were in the situation we were in. Got our change back and left. Chili was fine. She liked her dinner. Unsure if I’m going to come back based on this...

I went here with my brother before a Colts game. It was around 11AM (game at 1PM) and we got right in with no wait. The atmosphere and overall ambiance is classic city pub with local sports memorabilia and other local items plastered on the wall. They had a solid choice of beers and cocktails, although I felt like the beers were slightly over-priced. I had the Breaded Pork Tenderloin w/Fries and my brother had the BBBBQ (Bacon, Blue Cheese, & BBQ Sauce) Burger w/ Kettle Chips. He raved about how good the burger was, and I tried a couple of the chips and they were good. My tenderloin was good, but the fries were reminiscent of frozen fries that could be bought at the local grocery store - nothing spectacular. The server was cordial, though not overly outgoing (good or bad depending on your preference).

Overall the food was good, atmosphere was pleasant, and the service was above average. If I'm downtown for an event then this is a perfect place to grab lunch/dinner before/after the event, though I probably wouldn't make a trip downtown solely to go here. 10/10 would recommend going here if you're already...
