My husband and I travel pretty extensively and have had good luck at other McAlisters in the chain. This McAlister's was right by our hotel. We were attending the Red Bull Air Race and needed to get back to Chicago that night so it was a no-brainer to get the family some car-food to eat on the way home. I ordered online, around 10am, Sunday morning. Pick up at 12:15. Our food was ready and packed up. One sandwich had gluten free bread, and all sandwiches we requested to be cut in half. The gluten free sandwich was excellent, the kids Toasted cheese received no complaints, but the husband's Ham and Cheese Toasty was literally half a sandwich and almost no ham (see pics). In addition to that, when I went to pick up, I had to request our drinks, and sadly, assumed my daughter's milk was already in the bag. No one checked the drinks. No milk, lucky to have our teas, and received one half a sandwich. So, for a relatively expensive meal, it was definitely falling short of our expectations. Unfortunately, we found this all out an hour and a half northwest of Indy. I can give kudos to hitting the mark on the gluten free requests but, really, the sandwiches looked like they had been slapped together by 3 different people. Sunday morning quality control is lacking. Definitely, thoroughly, check your...

Last night, we stayed at the Embassy Suites on Michigan Road. We ordered food online for the store near the hotel. My son walked through the snow to pick it up. When he got into the store, he was informed they had sent their employees home due to the snow storm. I understand and appreciate sending employees home due to weather, but I'm extremely disappointed at the number of service opportunities that were missed:

No outbound call was made. They had the order in the store and our phone number, but they did not inform us that the order wouldn't be fulfilled until we got into the store. This contradicts the safety message, putting Customers at risk (unnecessarily). Add to this that we were waiting for nothing - ended up having to order hotel food 45 minutes later.

We were charged anyway and no refund has been made. We requested we be cashed out or refunded on the spot, but they couldn't do so. They promised they'd call the next day and refund our card, but here I sit. No call. Now we have to remember to call tomorrow to get our refund.

I have never eaten at a McAlisters, as there aren't any local where I live. I can't say...

I am being nice to give one star. I placed my order online fully expecting to pick it up with all the items that I ordered. I got there and stood at the pickup register and I had to announce myself because I guess no one wanted to acknowledge me. I get the taco salad with no chips, guacamole or sour cream. I let it slide okay no sour cream or guacamole. I asked for this missing chips. The guy, must have been the manager looked like he was inconvenienced by my request. No apology. I was annoyed by then. I made it halfway out the door before I realized that the oatmeal cookie that I ordered for my son wasn’t in the bag. Back to the register I go again. I stood there for a little bit then of course I was invisible so I had to announce myself again where this same manager began to say something to me about other people waiting.. huh? I ordered online 30 mins ago. No way I should still be collecting the contents of my order. He then hands me a cookie. Not the one I ordered of course (I ordered oatmeal raisin by the way) then I left. Don’t place a online order with them. You have been warned. I went home and found my own guacamole and sour...

Enjoyed the Reuben sandwich. 11/1/17 The New York Sandwich was the best but it is a little pricey. 1/29/23 Finally got around to go to this place again. They have did a complete remodel of this restaurant. Looks great and very enjoyable. They have the new TV menu screens. More information in less space. I enjoyed the 'King Club' and broccoli. My Friend had the 'choose two'. A cup of soup and a Salad.

Order at the counter is the first step. I ordered the McAlister sandwich. Tomato soup and side salad with ranch. The soup was very good. The sandwich was satisfying and the salad was good. I ordered a water and was given a large cup which was nice They delivered the food to my table in a couple of minutes. The service was good
