We arrived on Friday night after 7pm, and it was really busy. I was lucky enough to have a table booth available right by the front door which had a window view to the outside. A DJ was setting for the evening. I thought oh no it's going to get loud in here... but actually the DJ in the corner kept the noise in his corner. So you heard the music, but you could still have a conversation. We ordered 2 appetizer, and thanks to all the Yelp reviews we ordered the Crab dip with housemade chips. Oh my goodness, it was amazing with melted cheese. It definitely was not lacking Crab. We also had a bowl of clam chowder. The bacon on top really added to the chowder. I have had alot of chowder, but not with the bacon. Really good and alot of clams, and potato. Dinner, I ordered the Lobster Power Bowl. Instead of salmon they were kind to substitute it with talipia. This was a really cool bowl on one side is your fish. Lobster, talipia, shrimp, rice, and fresh vegetables. The other side of the bowl is a cold salad lettuce, tomatoes, cucumbers, half hard boiled egg, sweet pickle relish, radishes, a tablespoon size of guacamole, and a honey lime vignette dressing. This is so big that 2 can share this bowl. The shrimp and lobster is prepared well, moist, juicy, and seasoned just a little bit for taste. My other half ordered the Epic Shrimp Burrito. For $13.00 this was well worth the money. Lots of shrimp, and the burrito was huge, it also had rice inside. The only downfall is that it says salsa. That salsa was not your typical salsa it had a kick to it. It was almost like a spicy chulupa, sour cream, and lime. I would get this again, but with the sauce on the side. The sauce is inside and outside the burrito. This is definitely a fork and knife dish. Lastly, I had a tequila shot with an oyster on top. The rim had a spicy salt. So good to eat the oyster, lick the salt, and that tequila was so smooth. I opted to have the regular tequila, and not the jalenpeno tequila. The bathroom and restaurant was clean. Ally our server was really nice, and always checking on us. Amy at the hostess stand was nice, and a friend of the family. Mark I think was the owner, but didn't say he was able to confirm a few questions I had and was really nice. For being in a covid pandemic everyone is doing their best and there was no complaints from me. I will definitely be back, and it's only 25...
Read moreDecided to try this place for the first time for our anniversary before heading over to a show at the Old National Center. We had made reservations and when we arrived accidentally walked into the wrong side- it was quite confusing but we found our way to the dine-in section… turns out we put in a reservation for the carry-out side? Fortunately we had arrived early enough in the night that it wasn’t too busy and we snagged one of the last 3 tables. The ambience was okay with the only reason for my review was because there was only one waitress and the general manager working the entire floor of ~15 tables. We ordered drinks and apps- the food was incredibly fast to arrive while our drinks were severely delayed- to which our waitress said that the bar was backed up. At one point after we were done with our apps we were left at a completely empty table with no drinks (including water) and no meal- it gave me time to look around and people watch I guess? We both ordered the Clobster Grilled cheese which was by far SO incredibly good. I was VERY impressed. Although we have ourselves 2 hours for dinner, we had to rush out to catch our show — and had to flag down our waitress as she was hustling around trying to keep up. I honestly felt bad for her with how many tables she had. In summary; the food was delicious, the drinks were good, the price was on point for seafood in the Midwest, the service was subpar due to understaffing We will go again - hopefully it was an off night and staffing isn’t a...
Read moreThe vibe here is really it. The music they play will definitely have you bopping your head. Our waitress, was really nice and attentive. She made some really good suggestions on food and drinks as well! I’ll let you read the full review, but I wouldn’t suggest this place to others. I’d give them a 1, but to to have high expectations from a seafood place not on the coast is asking a lot. This is a good place for drinks, I will say that!
Pic 1: Privateer Such a refreshing drink. You can definitely taste the liquor, but it blends so well that’s it’s hard not to pick it out, ya know? Would highly recommend.
Pic 2: Watermelon Agua Fresca You taste the tequila even more than the vodka in the last drink, but, again, not in a bad way at all. The watermelon comes through though!! Would highly recommend.
Pic 3: Lobster Tots Delicious little snack. The sauces definitely make these better. The garlic on the plate and the awesome sauce. The outside was crispy, but the inside has the consistency of Thanksgiving dressing if that catches your attention. Definitely slacked on the lobster as well.
Pic 4: Giant Shrimp Burrito This wasn’t it, I’m sorry. Not seasoned, no flavor, and fries in a burrito???
Pic 5: Hawaiian Bowl Just no. I’m sorry. The thing with the most flavor was the pineapple.
Pic 6: Fries I would’ve been shocked if this wasn’t tasty.
Pic 7: Clam Chowder It was good. Good texture, nice taste.
Pic 8: Light Fixture They had some dope...
