Stardust Terrace Café — Restaurant in Indianapolis

After a museum employee hyped up the cafe, I was curious to try this place out. And yeah, my experience wasn’t good.

Cafe isn’t properly labeled as to where you order vs where you pay, so I was originally in the wrong line. Then, everyone who was supposed to take orders were handing out orders so the wait was awhile. Then, I waited 15 minutes for my 2 sandwiches , while countless customers who ordered AFTER ME got their pizza/sandwiches/orders.

After I finally got my food, one of sandwiches was cool, not hot and one of the sandwiches had items on them that weren’t advertised at all on the menu and missing an item (my chicken bacon Swiss was missing the Swiss but they put beans on it?)

Needless to say, the only positive about it were the fries. They were good enough to make this experience a 2. Maybe they need more staff when it’s busy, maybe they need to dedicate who does what job, but...

Went there today with some friends and ordered the Caprese Chicken Sandwich which I have ordered there in the past. This past June I ordered it there and it was really good and it came with a decent sized cooked boneless chicken breast, but this time it was made with a few slices of chicken breast like deli slices. My friend ordered it too by my past recommendation. I was quite disappointed and embarrassed that I recommended it and it didn’t seem worth the price we paid for it. The other people in our party ordered a double cheeseburger and pizza and were very satisfied with it. Also, the cole slaw side dish had too much mayonnaise to make it edible. Not sure if they changed the cafe staff since June, but I won’t order the Caprese Chicken Sandwich and...

Pretty disappointed. My boyfriend brought me here as a little surprise for my birthday after we visited the State Museum. Walked in at 3 pm, we were told they “closed early today.” Google and their website confirms they close every single day at 5 (besides Sunday’s.) Don’t plan a trip here, people, they might just “close up” TWO hours early simply becisde they feel like it. Thanks...
