We went on our lunch break today…the best part of the experience was getting to sit and talk. šŸ˜…. we got seated, placed our order. Nothing, nothing, nothing. 35 minutes in, our waitress passes and we ask about how much longer our food is expected to take. We are informed at that time (35 minutes after ordering), they ran out of salad and had to go to the store for more, but that it ā€œwould be right outā€ā€¦ 15 more minutes. Nothing. We ask again, our waitress said ā€œwell you haven’t gotten food yet. So I guess you can just leaveā€¦ā€ *we did not leave because we wanted our food that we had already waited ~50 minutes for…I’m pregnant and not going to just not eat. Hindsight is 20/20. We should have just left because what we got wasn’t worth sticking around for*. We ask them just to bag the food to-go. They bring us our bag right at an hour of waiting, and advise us they would be giving us a discount. We received a 10% discount on each of our checks… collectively a $2 discount. $2. Let that sink in šŸ˜… mine was still almost $14, and my friends was almost $18. - also $14 & $18 for a grilled cheese and salad is absurd to begin with. Had they advised us as soon as they found out they didn’t have lettuce, we should’ve been notified so that my friend could have ordered something else. Instead- it took an hour for a grilled cheese, and a salad. Who I assume was the manager advised us that she had not expected to run out of lettuce and be short staffed. I am very understanding that places are under staffed right now… but come on. Upon arrival, there was no one seated downstairs, upstairs, it was the 2 of us, one other 2 person table who had already been served, and a 3 person table who came in after us-they did get their food in a timely manner! Upon departure there was one table of ~4 individuals(?). And I counted at least 5 employees. 🤨. When we get back to work, we find that some colleagues had also gone to the same restaurant in which they finally just left because their waiter was rude & they hadn’t received any food after waiting 45 minutes. By the time we get back (very short walk), I tried to eat my grilled cheese-which was less than appetizing. The outside of my grilled cheese looked great! But the cheese was not melted & the bread had the cold, stale taste of sadness. I imagine that it sat there, already made, the entire time my friend’s lettuce was being foraged from some far away land. The fries were good enough but not something to boast about. I have worked in the service industry. I get it. But there were a lot of things that could have been handled better. Rant over… I hope yall have a better experience there than we did.

We came in for lunch on a Sunday. Downstairs was not available so we had to go upstairs. The stairs are pretty steep. My husband has pretty serious neuropathy so it was a challenge but we made it. There is no elevator so if you have any issue where steps are a no for you or you are in a wheelchair, I cannot recommend this restaurant for you. I did love the vibe and atmosphere though! I ordered the black and blue salad. I ordered it medium but it came out well. I only mentioned it because I saw that someone else said the same thing. I ate it. Just didn’t feel like complaining. It is plenty big and was just good due to being overcooked and a little tough. Also four of my pieces of steak were gristle. The portion of bleu cheese crumbles was plentiful which I loved so I didn’t use a dressing. In all fairness, this was not on the recommended list that our bartender/server offered to us. My husband went with her recommendation and ordered the salmon and loved it. It was cooked to perfection and was delicious as I had a bite. Rachel was our server/bartender. I told her I didn’t like the taste of alcohol and she whipped up a couple of her own signature drinks and they both fit the bill to a T! A Cherry Capri Sun and a Peach Ring (like the gummy candy with sugar on it) Her drinks and service were excellent. They have a M-F happy hour with some good deals. Parking is on the streets. Sunday was free. There is a parking lot with the building next to the restaurant and were told that after 6pm they didn’t mind if patrons parked there. It is a kid friendly place.

I was introduced to this place from Fox 59. The ambiance was nice. The place had really cool floors and plenty of outdoor dining. Our server was a beautiful young lady named Kelsey. She was great! It's good to know that they have a lunch menu and a dinner menu (after 4). Those drinks were goodt! I had an old fashion, and my husband had the tub. Both drinks had a decent amount of alcohol. If you love chicken wings, you gotta try theirs. They have a great wing. They were cooked to perfection. Crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. We had to order a second batch. They were so delicious. All the food looked amazing. I had a chicken salad, and my husband had the social view burger. Everything was delicious. I will definitely be going back. I want to explore the menu. I would suggest that you give this place a try. It's worth it.
