I have always done take out, and have always found the food to be delicious. However, tonight's customer service left a lot to be desired. I ordered pineapple curry for my wife, and specified that my wife could only have very mild heat, if any at all. When I got home (20 minutes away) to have dinner at home, my wife tried the pineapple curry and said it was very hot for her. I called to have it remade, and was told that it is not possible to make pineapple curry mild, and that they would make Mussaman curry instead. That sounded great until they told me to bring the remaining pineapple curry back with me because it had to be shown to the manager. I have never heard of such a thing, as it gets thrown away, so why take it back?Halfway back to the restaurant, I realized I had forgotten to take the leftover with me. I did not think it worth my time to go back to get it, so I proceeded. To my shock, the lady who had my replacement food demanded the pineapple curry be returned, and did not want to give me the replacement food -- food that I should have been advised that it could not be mild when I ordered it the first time. Most wise restaurateurs would have recognized their customer service mistake and offered a comp; instead I was treated as if I were trying to cheat them into giving me a different item and keep the original item, too. I realize there are people who would do that, but I had placed a large order and tipped (which I do not typically do for takeout), so I was not trying to get something for nothing. If they have a problem with their own employees. and need proof of the mistake, then they are doing the wrong thing by requiring the customer to bring the food back. In fact, I told them that they should have offered a refund for the item due to the inconvenience of having to drive 20 minutes to get the replacement item. Finally, there was no apology. I know of other Thai restaurants that I can go to within the same radius that are just as good; they will be getting my...
Read moreWe were the 1st table there at right around 5 o'clock and there was one server that was to run the whole place and the poor guy kept moving and never stopped so he was really working hard. There were several tables that came in after us and they all got their food before us while we ordered before them. We love Thai food and we've had many different places and some of us don't like it real spicy some of us do so we tend to make it mild with some spice on the side but this mild was so bland everything was bland and they never brought me any pepper stuff for my food so it really wasn't that enjoyable amount of food now if we had spices in it it might be a different story I really don't know. Now I do get there is one server I don't know how the kitchen was so you don't want to completely make this a bad experience due to that but I have been places like this short stafand there was a lot more efficient and the food was better but we might go back give it another try some point when we won't be short and we can get some spicy stuff and give...
Read moresome friends had told me about this restaurant (1 veggie and 1 not). we were in the Castleton area shopping, so my wife and i decided to give it a try. we started with the thai version of crepes...filled with cabbage, tofu, and green onions with a sweet(er) sauce. loved it. my wife had a noodle dish with shrimp, and i had the jungle curry (no coconut milk). the majority of the dishes could be made vegetarian, so that worked out well for me. i like my thai dishes very spicy, so this worked out well for me...they had 5 or 6 different levels of heat. my wife prefers hers a less spicy, so she was happy with the heat index on her's as well. she was not as enthused as i was about it, but i think overall it was a good experience. the price was pretty good (about $50 for appetizer, entrées, a few adult beverages, and the tip. the service was appropriate (not too much, and not too little). all of the wait staff attended to us, and the place was packed when we left...
