UPDATE: Wow, they take their reviews seriously! Everything was labeled and separated this time which made things SO much easier for everyone. I will up it to 5 stars if they keep this up and it's not just a one time thing. And we would love to start ordering from here more often. We aren't trying to be difficult, but when we order food for 20-30 people every single day I don't have a choice but to remove places from our rotation that are difficult to order/distribute. Thanks so much for the improvements this time and please keep it up!! Old review: My office orders from here fairly regularly. We like the food but last time I tried to call in our order nobody would answer the phone. I tried for about 15-20 mins. I ended up having to go in to order our large order, and when I walked in there were 3-4 servers just sitting at a table and 2 cooks in the kitchen area. They also messed up a couple of our orders. My chili 5-way was made as a 3-way, and a couple other mistakes on coworkers food. I'm not super upset about that though, I'm a reasonable person and I know mistakes happen. Another random annoyance, the habanero cheese really needs to be labeled differently. It's too easy to mix up and sometimes the wrong person ends up with spicy cheese they...

Stopped in at this Skyline location after a Dr. appointment, since it's close to the Dr office. I've been to the 2 other Indy locations many times but this location was a first. Before even entering, I was immediately impressed by how large this location is. Upon entering we were immediately greeted. The restaurant was very clean. The time of day was not during the peak meal times so I wasn't surprised to see only a handful of ppl eating. The food was served quick, fresh and hot. Service was great. Cincinnati chili isn't for everyone but it sure is for me and my family since we were born and raised in Cincinnati and grew up eating it. It's a love or hate kind of taste. I've never met anyone who says it's just ok, it's either a love it or hate it kind of comfort food. This location gets a perfect 100% from me and I will be back since it's so close to this appointment location. Skyline is hands down the best Cincinnati chili. There's others like Gold Star, Camp Washington chili, Empress chili and maybe others I'm forgetting and they're all Cincinnati chili worth eating but imho Skyline is the cream of the crop and this location, even though it's not in Cincy offers a great experience. If you...

If this is your thing, no offense meant. This is my opinion based on our experience.

TLDR: chili is not the flavor we were expecting, kids didn’t eat their food, overpriced hospital food.

As soon as we walked out my children felt like we should warn the others that we’re entering the building. We’re pretty easy to please and love trying new places…this is a difficult review to write. Never been here before and walked in, unsure if we should sit or order at the counter. Someone from the back told us to sit anywhere. There was so much cheese caked on the carpet, we weren’t sure where was clean enough for us to sit.

We sat and were greeted pretty quickly. The waitress got us menus and took our drink orders. The iced tea was obviously a powdered tea, not good.

Prices seemed reasonable, until we got our food…both my kids were grossed out by their food. Pale hotdogs that tasted off. The other adults that we were with were all describing their food as “interesting” or “not filling and not good.”

43$ for a family of 4 is a lot for a dinner that left us feeling yuck and not full. We left and got hotdogs...

Stopped by yesterday for my second time. On my first visit, I had the five way chili. It wasn’t too bad, although I prefer homemade Chilli. This time around I had hotdogs. This is my adult son’s favorite place. Which is what brought me in last time and this time. To be honest, when I picked up my first hotdog, I checked to see if there was a hotdog in the bun. I have never in my life, seen hot dogs this small. They were slightly larger than a Vienna sausage and almost twice as long. There was more bun, cheese, chili, and onions. Then there was hotdog, I am not a fan. I’ll come back again, it was OK. But I would not come here, it were not for my son.👍👎 3.5 out of four

My husband is from Ohio so Skyline Chili is a childhood favorite for him. Living in the South now we only have canned or frozen Skyline available at Kroger. I had the real thing here in Indianapolis for the first time and LOVED IT. In the 5 days we were in town we ate here at least 4 times. It was conveniently close to our hotel and the service was classic and perfect. Our favorite thing is a semi-inverted 4-way with beans, and the funnel fries were delicious. Keep in mind this is not traditional spicy, Southern Chili--it is more of a Greek chili sauce over noodles or coney dogs with tons of cheese. If you haven't tried it, I would definitely recommend!

Cincinnati chili can be an … acquired taste. It has cinnamon and other warming spices. I really love it, and was really happy to realize this location was still here and open when I moved to the area. Been here a few times now, prices are great, food is reliably good. Great value, especially the coney dogs. Eating in is a really nice vibe, although service isn’t always the fastest. They really care. It’s a very relaxed feeling place, and to me that’s part of the appeal. Done pickup a few times, really good and quick as well, and cheap.
