I used to love this place, then they moved to this new location. The menu changed, my favorites went away so I found new things I can eat but the staff is slightly rude on some things and the food isn't as good but the decor is pretty. The prices have gone thru the roof and when paying higher prices you don't expect burnt tortilla chips with an after taste, have to keep asking for basics like napkins, straws, and to go packaging.
I would have honestly rather gone elsewhere there are a ton of other places that don't sit and watch you from across the room and never check on you unless it is to rush you to pick your meal or pay your bill but seem confused if you have a question about their menu.
I asked for my burrito to be made chimichanga style the meat was super hard, no seasoning, can I repeat that NO SEASONING so I had to order some extra queso for like $6 a tiny cup and it still didn't help but helped it slide down easier. My friend ordered some shrimp fajitas all together we paid around $70 for the most basic food and the tails on his shrimp fajitas were on on random pieces. Who wants to dig their fingers in that hot plate to keep pulling off tails?
He wasn't happy with the portion sizes and the condiment prices. We play a game where we pick restaurants to try and we rate them they pass and we will go back, this one earned me a strike which means we don't go back nor do I get to pick the next place, I go back in rotation before I'm trusted again to pick a place so strikes all around on this one. I gave myself one too.
Some things don't get better with time nor upgrading, they were great at the old location. Their location is just about the decor, not the same friendly staff and great food and service. Honestly I would pick the taco bell drive thru before I go back to this place if that says anything. I cook authentic Mexican food at home so this won't be missed and I can still have my favorite items fresh, seasoned, and without the big bill and small...
Read moreWe are from out of town and came to shop at the Keystone Mall. I’m not one to complain ever, but the service was absolutely terrible. We came at 4PM on a Saturday and there were only 2 others tables in the restaurant. We waited for 5 minutes upon entering for someone to come to seat us. We waited another 10 before our server came to ask what we wanted to drink. Keep in mind ONLY TWO OTHER TABLES IN THE ENTIRE RESTAURANT. We ordered our food and once we got it we asked for silverware, where we were brought unrolled silverware that was set on the table. There aren’t many things I’m picky about but my silverware touching anything, especially a gross table, is just not acceptable. We then had to ask for napkins because we weren’t brought any before. We never got a refill on salsa for chips after asking for some. We waited for 20 minutes after finishing our meal for our server to bring our bill and we were finally able to pay and leave. All of this while watching him play on the computer and on his phone, which is what made most of this so frustrating. I gave two stars instead of one because the food was good but if we lived in Castleton we’d never come back just because of...
Read moreFirst thing when you walk in you are surrounded by the most beautiful and breathtaking artwork! No detail is skipped. Our server Francisco was absolutely amazing! He was so nice and paid attention to detail and never forgot anything. We never had to ask for refills and he didn’t rush us to eat. He was a wonderful server. We ordered the super donkey, kid’s enchiladas with chicken, and a combo platter of two Chile rellenos and a tamale. The meal came with chips and salsa. I would have to say the best salsa I have ever had. Lots of flavor and perfect amount of heat. The sauces on all the meals had lots of flavor, the kids meal portion was huge, the combo platter was the best choice, I loved every bit of it. By far the best Mexican restaurant I have ever been to, and my standards are pretty high when it comes to Mexican food. They didn’t disappoint at all. Will have to come again next time we are...
