Coni’Seafood — Restaurant in Inglewood

I'm writing this review because I would like for the owner or the manager to know what's going on in their restaurant and actually do something about this....unfortunately I won't rate this place 5 stars even though the food is amazing the menu is amazing the prices are a little expensive but the food is worth it and I pay because like I said the food is excellent .anyway I won't rate this place the 5 stars it deserves because I think what matters more in a restaurant or any place that services the public is customer service ..conis is amazing but the only reason I'm doing this post is because it's been countless of times that I call to place an order and its not closing time yet and they have rejected to take my order besides that the man answering the phone today and all the other times I've called have been extremely rude and they insult my intelligence by thinking that I don't speak Spanish and understand what he's saying. I was so excited to check this place out because of the infatuation and LA Taco plugs, but this place is a huge miss. The ceviche was awful - somehow bland and the shrimp was gray. The fried fish was cooked for another table, they walked around and asked if every table ordered it. When we did order it 20 mins later, they brought us that passed around order, cold - when I told them it was cold and we knew it was the passed around one - they said they changed the bowl for us 😮‍💨 we asked for a new order. Of course, 20 mins later they brought us back the same order. We also got their famous fish and the fish tacos, we really wanted to like something! The fish was full of bones and NOT DESCALED, also it was soaked in butter so you really couldn’t taste much else. Also, the fish tacos were unseasoned. This place is a skip - do not waste your money on poor quality seafood. Our meal cost $150 before tip and none of the items that we didn’t eat were removed from our bill. There are no prices on the menu. I should have asked how much an order of shrimp tacos would be when I called in my order, but I didn’t. My bad. I wouldn’t have gotten them. $20 for 3 regular size tacos??? Then, I thought because of all the LA Weekly write ups on the wall and the nice ambiance they would have HUGE shrimp and be the best tacos I’ve ever had, however, that was not the case. The shrimp were tiny and hard, ridiculously overcooked. The cashier said everything’s gone up, especially seafood, however, that has not been my experience and I only eat seafood, vegetables and fruit. Plus, I can get 2 super tasty, filling, large shrimp tacos at The Fish Grill for under $10. The ONLY reason I would ever consider going back would be to try some of their more exotic dishes I wouldn’t find anywhere else. So, if you go, definitely don’t waste your money on the shrimp tacos. I should have listened to some of the other reviewers regarding the shrimp tacos and driven the extra distance to the fish grill....
