Nirvana Lounge & Bar — Restaurant in Irving

Nirvana is a very interesting addition to the Toyota Music Factory in Las Colinas (Irving). This new establishment comes from the same group that runs the nearby Sanjh restaurant.

The food was very good. My favorite was definitely the fried calamari which is my absolute favorite version of the dish that I have ever had to date. It's very lightly fried and extremely crunchy, very similar to tempura but lighter.

The drinks were creative and showed the Indo Chinese influences throughout. My favorite drink of the night was the Hunan Heatwave which is a variation of a spicy margarita but 100% worth trying. This was followed by the Monk Meditation which is an Indian rum riff on an espresso Martini made with brown butter. Absolutely with trying.

My favorite part of the experience was the care of the staff. The bartender came by multiple times to ask for feedback on his creations and was more than happy to hear more than "it's great!" The wait staff also routinely asked for feedback on the food, spice levels, and provided great recommendations.

Nirvana is truly a hidden gem in Las Colinas! I’ve been here a few times now, and every visit has been an incredible experience. Tucked away just around a quiet corner—just find the stairs—you’ll be amazed when you step inside. The atmosphere is chic and vibrant, with top-notch, luxurious décor that instantly transports you.

What I love most about Nirvana is the exceptional variety of drinks and food. If you’re ready for a flavorful journey through Indian-Chinese fusion cuisine, you’re in for a treat. Every sip is a delight to the palate—from expertly crafted cocktails to beautifully balanced mocktails that are just as indulgent for those skipping the alcohol.

The kitchen truly shines with a diverse menu: crispy, smooth, spicy, vegan, or hearty plates featuring shrimp, chicken, or fish—there’s something here for every taste and craving. The attention to flavor and presentation is simply impressive.

And the music? It changes nightly, keeping the energy fresh and the vibes flowing. Whether you’re there to dance, sip, or just soak in the ambiance, Nirvana hits the mark every time.

Disappointing Experience at Nirvana – Please Check Your Bill Carefully

We had a very disappointing experience at Nirvana on Friday. Our group of six people only ordered a few items – specifically, one noodle dish, one fried rice, and one portion of crispy chilli potatoes. However, when the bill arrived, we were shocked to see we were charged for two noodle dishes, two fried rice, and two portions of crispy chilli potatoes – items we never ordered.

We raised this with the staff, and while they corrected some of the charges, they still billed us for two fried rice portions (saying one was split) and included a drink we never ordered – a Hakushu priced at $22. None of us had that drink, so this charge was completely incorrect.

We’ve been trying to contact the restaurant since then, but our calls are going straight to voicemail. This was a very frustrating and disappointing experience, and we just want to warn others: please check your bill carefully before you pay.
