No everyone who asks for reinforcements is looking to make your life miserable.
I ordered a hamburger with no fries and a coffee. The server greeted me warmly, but when she brought the food, there were fries on the plate. I pointed out that I had asked for no fries. As she walked away with my food, I said to leave the burger anyway. She went to check and informed me that I had indeed been charged for the fries. She left the tray of food with the fries and walked awayâno apologies, no attempt to reimburse me, and no manager involved.
After finishing my burger, I approached the register where she was talking to another employee and asked if they were going to reimburse me for the fries. The employee who was with her responded sarcastically, âWhat did you order?â I replied, âA burger with no fries.â He then asked, âWhy didnât you say anything before?â I explained that I had mentioned it when she brought the food. He then rudely asked, âDid you pay cash?â I said no, I paid with a card. He replied, âOkay, Iâll give you $2.49. It will take a couple of weeks, but youâll get it.â And closed the register đđ€Ł
I believe he doesnât like his job. Honestly, he can keep the fries and the money for the fries even though the are more than $2.49, but your establishment is getting a bad review for being so unprofessional. Iâm an investor and came to the event to acquire more real estate. Iâm not your enemy or trying to make your life miserableâjust a customer with choices. You've just put yourself at the bottom of the list. The patties are so thin and cheap I have eaten better burgers for $15 so get...
Read moreTwo stars for service thanks to Cory P who was rude this morning. I let him know I couldnât decide on either the biscuits and gravy or the eggs Benedict. He quickly snapped at me before I could finish my question and with an annoyed look on his face he rudely told me that the menu says BISCUIT AND GRAVY not biscuits. Management needs to stick Cory in the back of the house, he has zero people skills and needs not be in the front of the house. This guy pissed me off and he never answered my question. I placed my order for the BISCUIT AND GRAVY. This was the absolute most delicious BISCUIT AND GRAVY Iâve ever tasted! My husband and I stayed in the area over the weekend and we ate at Kitchen 101 three times. Except for Cory this morning every single employee we encountered on Friday morning and Saturday night was friendly and professional. We talked with a lady who is the trainer for the privately owned company for Kitchen 101 and Sambuca in downtown Houston Friday morning and enjoyed our conversation. I didnât get her name but I hope she reads this review and retrains Cory or moves him to the back of the house. We heard him rudely correct another guest behind us on BISCUIT AND GRAVY. The restaurant was clean and welcoming. The bar drink selection was great. The Whole Hog breakfast sandwich was amazing! The biscuit and gravy was delicious! The cranberry mimosa was wonderful! The Banana Pudding Sugar Tacos for dessert were fantastic! If we are ever back in this area we will for sure...

With a wide array of food options for the picky to the healthy to the hearty, Kitchen 101 has something for everyone with homemade...and very well-made...entrées, sandwiches, salads, pizza, steak, and even a catch of the day.
The food is simply incredible from an in-house chef that cooks up inspiring creations that can satisfy multiple palette interests of any individual or group. Adventuresome twists on traditional favorites create a unique experience (such as a "Sourdough Club" that swaps the turkey with shredded pork and adds a zesty dijon chipotle spread on tasty, herb-crusted and toasted sourdough).
Service is fast and personal. Atmosphere and build out are modern but very comfortable and inviting. And the dessert happy hour is the perfect excuse to start with dessert and end with anything else. The sticky buns are delightful, and the triple-layer chocolate cake is not too heavy or overly rich.
In an ocean of options at the Toyota Music Factory, Kitchen 101 is definitely at the top (possibly the top??) for great food and an overall...
