We had a really disappointing experience during our visit last night (Saturday, July 26. Evening service) We arrived just before 9 p.m. and were seated and served by a friendly waiter who confirmed that the restaurant closed at 10 p.m. However, at exactly 9:25 p.m., an employee (male) from the night shift approached our table and told us we had to leave because staying past 9:30 was a safety issue for the staff. I don't see how we were a safety issue for them? We were just a family of 3 eating and having a normal conversation. I'm 100% sure it was all made-up BS.
Not only did this feel rushed and uncomfortable, but we also noticed they were turning away other customers at 9 p.m., claiming the restaurant was already closed—even though it wasn’t. The whole thing felt very disorganized and left a bad impression. We were pushed out after being seated for less than 30 minutes.
If the actual closing time is 9 p.m., it should be clearly stated and followed consistently. But if it's 10 p.m., customers should be allowed to dine without being pressured to leave early. This experience really made us think twice about...
Read moreSome tasty Vietnamese food. The wait stuff are kind and attentive. The food comes out fast and hot.
!The vermicelli bowls (any combination) are the best dishes so far I've tried at Pho Legacy. Their fish sauce is so good and sweet it pairs well. (It makes sense why I hear someone asked for extra.) The bowls feels refreshing with the greens, noodles, proteins and the fish sauce.
!Their bobas are really good and flavorful. And they make them smoothie like...my favorite.
Their spring rolls are heavy, lengthy and made in the typical spring roll fashion. You can't go wrong with it. The sauce does a good job complementing the rolls.
The Hu tieu soup was alright leaning towards a little plain. I had to add other sauces from the table to liven the dish. The meats were sparse. You would not miss if you passed on it.
The banh mi were good and made in the typical fashion but were also scant with the proteins.
Fyi. Wait to be seated. QR Code to see menu. They usually have your ticket up where you...
Read moreThings I don't like: The pho tai was lacking flavor. It tasted almost water. The bun bo hue also tasted almost water. The goi cuon had bad sauce and either lacked vegetable and shrimp or had too much noodle. The waitress didn't even hand me a menu. She just asked us what we wanted.
Things I like/Not bad: Most of the time, the service is average. The atmosphere has nothing special. No smell of Vietnamese food. It's not bad either. The noodle in pho is good, and the meat was soft. They came with what I think was fresh vegetables. I'm glad that they also had a container with seasonings and utensils because they came in handy since the noodles are lacking flavor. Everything about bun bo hue is good except for the broth. The price is cheap compared to other vietnamese restaurants.
I'm writing this as someone who is from Ho Chi Minh (Vietnam). Your opinion might be different than mine, but I would not come here again. The food is just...
