We started out asking for a good place to go for nachos, and our campground host pointed us to this locals place Eleanor's Again. They had a fantastic happy hour which we lucked out in being part of. We got our nachos covered with ground beef but you can have shredded pork also. Couple of shots from the bar which was very unexpected and the service was fantastic. They don't usually have dessert but we were fortunate to get a lava cake last night.
We decided it was so good we went back again today and had panko fish and a chimichanga. Instead of fries my wife ordered homemade tater tots and they certainly are homemade and quite delicious. Last night we'd had the choice of nachos with chips or tachos with the tater tots and chose the chips. Maybe next time we would choose the tater tots instead.
Definitely a locals place, reasonable prices and an expensive town. According to them it's the biggest sports bar in town but I think I only counted eight TVs. I guess that's a pretty good number for a small place. One of the fun features of this location is you have to walk through a liquor store to get to it, the liquor store was playing spa music and later classical. Kind of unusual yet relaxing in a weird way.
Highly recommended, and the servers are super helpful very quick and...
Read moreLack of service from staff was minimal compared to the other problems. Rude bartenders. Food was horrible. Drinks were the only thing they did right. The main reason for the one star simply put..... Disrespectful and huge lack of respect especially towards my girlfriend and I's relationship. When Getting asked to go drink with the bartender "by herself"....... when im literally sitting with her at the bar.......Has he no respect let alone dignity. He shouldn't have a job either. Talk about thirsty.....This is a real show of the kind of people who work here..... Go spend your money somewhere else, avoid the headache and the drama from these lowlife bartenders who have never left this tiny tourist driven town.Tourist like me who come support this town deserve more respect. I wish them the best of luck in there future, although I don't foresee them doing so without these individuals. To the owners, take a good look at your employees, drunkeness can be a problem and certainly is in this case. I hope to hear back. Best regards. I come back every year and this by far was the only thing I can...
Read moreI'm updating my review from a not so good one that I wrote 3 years ago. We kept going back and the more we went we noticed improvements and found favorites on their menu. We became frequent customers again, especially in the off season, we went on a weekly basis, it was also our go to take out spot after camping, hiking, a day on the lakes. We loved most of their staff (especially Nelson, Georgia and Jerry), they were attentive and did a great job on cocktails (dirty martinis, pineapple vanilla martini etc) and in keeping us happy. We loved the wings, totchos (tater tot nachos), shrimp quesadillas, gyros and buffalo chicken salad. The meatball, chicken parm sandwiches and street tacos were also pretty good. Good beer selection, and one of the most affordable places to eat/drink in Jackson. It was also a fun place to watch the UFC and football, though it would get very crowded sometimes with all the locals. This year we moved overseas to a coastal town, but wanted to leave a positive note for these guys at Eleanors as they deserve it. We hope to find an "Eleanors" in...
